  • Hh zmr or yamaha r15

Guys am planning to get a bike this diwali for my bro. Before zmr's release i had made my mind to get a R15.but now i have a lil dilemma whether to go for r15 or zmr.R15 costs 1.15 lakhs and zmr around 91-97k + [bigger engine and big bike feel]..
mostly we r going to use it for city riding,,,very rarely we tour..
presently we own a fz16...and am happy with yamaha's bike and service....heard HH are also good in their service....
Bajaj p220 and TVS rtr180 are out of my list ...am not a big fan of them..i trust in yamaha and HH a lot...

I stay abroad so i have not time in getting bak to india and take a Test Drive...i have used my friends R15 for a week...its a amazing bike to have...loved ever moment of it,no idea abt ZMR .So its up to u guys to help me in choosing My machine....

a tad difficult to answer until the ZMR hits the roads. give us a lil time dude.
Till then you could probably garner some information about the Karizma as the new bike will largely be the same in running and feel. But do wait some more. The ZMR looks promising.
        Good luck!

No riding impressions on ZMR yet...considering the seating position and ergonomics are similar to the existing Zma,I feel it'll be an all rounder like the previous version. Can't say anything until it hits the road though...R15 is a pleasure to ride and though some ppl complain about the sporty riding position,I didnt find it bad...

Can't comment about ZMR now. If you are planning to buy a bike soon, you can lay your hands on the r15 since you are quite satisfied with the service of Yamaha.

Go for R15 for its superb handling...ZMRs handling is no way nearer to R15 for sure

would love a karizma zmr with a bigger carb,no fairing (less 10kgs)

R15 for its superior handling and tech motor

both suffer scarcity of spares tho kari would have been better cause its being around for so many years.still R15 better in service and spares

over all in my books R15 scores as it is a well put together real sports package ever

(but for city rides nothing to beat a mild ported RX135)

thnks for the replies guys...r15 is short and comfortable...zmr might giv us a big bike feel and hope its 28kg heavier than r15...is there any one in XBHP has done test ride of zmr...

I was also in dilemma about the zmr or R15.
I booked the R15 3 days back. I made up my mind as even if the zmr is better than the r15 then even i'll go the the Yamaha.
its pure instincts. think about both the bikes pros & cons & then decide.

I read a article about the zmr in the oct edition of bike India.
Bunnny(the test rider) claimed that he wont be surprised if the zmr delivers 45 kmpl in the city.( though not tested).

If you can wait for a month, all magazines will publish their reviews about the new zmr.
