    That's what I thought until I had a chance to ride it for 30-45 minutes on the highway and across towns. And that statement is wrong.

    Thr are better bikes in the same segment, your friend can consider them...!
    Yeah, the Platina for example.

        here is some glimpse of why gladiator for my friend and why a zues

        suzuki zues:
        he is a suzuki fan
        engine smoothness
        reliability

        yamaha gladiator:
        styling
        will be using on saturday sundays only for leisure purpose.(so styling will make more sense)

        also please recommend which bike is better for long ride as thats what the main purpose is among both the bikes.

          @Vikaskurup.......

          If your friend is looking for a 125cc workhorse...............go for the Zeus.Very strong engine, killing pick up in the city and grunty sound.Mileage is 69kmpl, by road standards. It actually feels like a Yamaha RX100 or an Enfield Bullet, fast and stable, comfortable for daily long commutes. It is a very strong bike, crash it ten times and no one except you would know.So what more you need for a city ride where there are so many causes to be dented here and there.

          Yamaha Gladiator is good, but in city performance for the Zeus is better.

          Now the negatives,Zeus is not good at 100+Kmph.Front becomes very light, catches even slightest of winds, suspension is set for comfort zones and is harsh when ridden fast and hard.5th gear is just the overdrive gear meant for cruising,no pull above 6500rpm.

          But if you talk of handling,it has a very comfortable seating posture and you can jerk and twist n dribble sideways leisurely(thats what I do in city......leaving the traffic in a mess )

          One more plus point of this bike................if you want to make it racier......Its ready for it.This bike is very easy to mod(KN airfilter sets optimally in stock box!!!,requires CR6HIX or CR7HIX irridium sparker, inbuilt Mikuni can be set to race tune),and after mod it behaves like a 150cc without any stress signs on engine.(mine experimental Zeus got mods, its loud and fast, still mileages 60kmpl !!!revs till 9000 rpm in all gears till 4th).Tyres are one of market best.......MRF NYLOGRIP ZAPPER,18 inch.

          Yes there are other options and the only other good options would be CBF Stunner Fi.(way too costly for being a 125cc).It does the 70-90kmph better than most Indian 125cc bikes.

          Honda Shine is good too but theres no big bike feel.
