you can also consider gs150r and unicorn... both are very good bikes to drive in city with good comfort and handling. you can expect a mileage of around 50 or more from both of these (this would also depend on your driving style). you should remove the fz from your list coz it fails miserably in the mileage department.

My comments in bold. Seems like you have pretty much narrowed it down to 160 RTR FI.

I would suggest the Unicorn for you. And please stay away from the Suzuki GS150R. It has got too many issues.

Whats the problem with Suzuki GS150R.

Unicorn will serve you well in the city with the ample mix of power and mileage. GS150R has some issues detailed in the ownership threads. You might want to take a look there.

If you want looks coupled with power, Hunk seems to be a choice as well as its the same Honda engine with different clothes.

Both the bikes have fairly good seating position for comfort in the city rides.

RTR160 does not have very favorable seating position for stop and go traffic conditions if you encounter that in your daily 12km ride. FZ might be a tad better here but dont have any personal experience on the FZ.

out of the bikes that you've mentioned,RTR 160fi makes sense...but GS150R and unicorn are good alternatives(getting a uni maybe a pain in the a** coz of the waiting period which has worsened due to the strike)

Go for the unicorn or GS150R. Test ride the bikes and see which one is more comfortable for you.

Well the FZ series and the RTR series are both very capable street fighters, within a city envoirnment. Not sure where you are from @bhosleganesh but in a cities like Pune/ Bangalore these two bikes can fly rings around pretty much any indian motorcycle on the street except the p220,Modded RXs or the RD 350 so if you re looking for an aggressive street fighter do nt look beyond these two in the 150 - 180 CC class. In fact the RTR 180 might actually smoke a modded RX and give a good run to the p220.

The Uni and the GS150 are good capable commuters also the Uni has delivrry issues from the company with long waiting periods and the GS150 has a few rusting issues as reported by owners on the it's ownership thread. Also there is not much that sets these two bikes apart from the whole bandwagon of Splendors, ambitions, glamours, platinas, calibers etc out there on the street. And then there is the HH Hunk which is a great package but it being so radical it s looks and stance is quite out of the ordinary and kinda appeals to very few people if you do like it's looks/image do consider it. Remeber there is a danger of it turning into a mechanical bull and scaring other cars in your basement. (Kidding )

And between the FZ and the RTR they both have their pros and cons that i kinda wanna do a comparo below:

When it comes to pure initial pick up the RTR wins hands down

Looks there nothing much between them both look like really mean aggressive machines well the FZ scores a lil over the RTR in the looks front.

Handling they both can stop and turn on a Dime

Refinement the FZ wins with it's cush ride and there are reports of vibrations from RTR owners. The RTR is the unrefined of the two but for some it's crudeness itself is the appeal.

The FZ has monoshock suspension and this makes the handling on the FZ really good and this bike looks and feels like a proper sprots bike.

The the sound of the RTR is supereb I absoulutely love the bassy engine note of this bike.

The FZ has a sweet spot in it's rev range that is 4.5 k - 6k and feels really powerful if ridden in this rev range, the RTR has usable power throut it's Rev range and has a better top end than the FZ.

My vote goes for the FZ but then I already own one and you re the one buying a bike so spend some time at both the showrooms give both the bikes a very good look in. Sit on em and see which suits you better and get your Ride. Test ride em of course but the test rides but you get at the showrooms you cant really base your decison on, if you can get a test ride on a friends bike on a real commute that would be great. Finally get the bike that you feel comfortable on as these two machines are awesome mobikes.

RTR Fi, it looks good delivers around 45 kmpl in the city little more performance than non Fi RTR and way more than the FZ when you compare the feel. Its more of a simple bike compared to Yamaha.

I have already taken ride of Apache from one friend.....it was lot better than pulser and others.
i will take ride of FZ, its just that not many people have FZs so i am searching some one who has it.

My whole decision is based on only two questions below and one test ride.

Is there tyre issue with RTR??

milage of FZ, is it atleast 40? Most of Owners(from Owners thread) have quoted it between 35-42.

The factory fitted srichakras aparently are nt that grippy ive read and heard.

Yeah right depending on the riding I ve got mileage ranging from 35 - 42. I would say on a mean average I get 40kmph on my FZs

for your preference unicorn is fit for you:
-Fuel Efficiency ~ 55 kmpl
-Driving Comfort - uni is well known for it
-Handling on City Roads. --- very good

You will truly feel like wing rider as Honda claims.
