      Ok here goes...
Pulsar 150- dont you think there are too many on the road...you kind off lose out on the exclusivity. (frankly this was what I thought when i bought the Hunk a couple of months ago). It is a great bike by itself but now is beginning to show its age.
CBZ Extreme : good bike, but looks are subjective.Very good suspension.
Unicorn : The best no nonsense compromise you can buy. Does a little bit of everything. Not a great looker though, but the new model looks good.
      finally the Hunk-
same engine as the Uni/CBZX. Tuned for better performance in the mid range. Believe me, in third it can pull from 10kmph all the way to 60. Nice Punchy ride. Very comfortable. My bike is returning 45 or so now.
Great looker, big bike feel. and yes it can do 110 or so (speedo indicated). (my bike just completed 1000 kms... )
      my vote : HUNK.

but seriously bro...follow your heart and you will not repent. it is better to buy a bike you love and smile for the next 3-4 years; rather than buy something you will ride because you have no other option.
like the saying goes : when faced with two options toss a coin...before the coin actually falls down you will know what is in your heart.

i heard hunk is not as refined as CBZ - X or not as good as xtreme ? .
        Is it true ? .
Can anyone tell the difference ? .

        @ Riaz
Is that the reason u went for xtreme or u just liked xtreme .

As a matter of fact you are right. I have ridden both and it is evident that the engine is a tad more refined throughout all rpm's.

I would say Pulsar150 is the best value for money

Dont get mislead, just compare the numbers of both the bikes you see in your hometown. This will be the biggest answer. If you see Pulsars too much (which is obvious) then you cant hide away from the fact that this is indeed a very successful bike which has everything one may ask for. Lacs of pulsar users cant be wrong you know. But its an individual choice afterall. Both of the bikes are good. The new pulsar i.e UGIV even has DC electricals. test ride borth of them and then decide. My vote will be for the new Pulsar anyday in 150cc segment (minus R15).

Yep, Xtreme is little refined than Hunk and added to that Gear shift is little better on Xtreme. And another mysterious thing is..though both have same engines...Xtreme has edge over topend.

Ofcourse there are many other reasons for me to go for Xtreme TWICE

I have used Hunk for almost a year and that bike didn't return me fuel average of not more than 35kmpl under any riding conditions, the best which i could extract was 47kmpl that too only on one occassion.

And i have used a pulsar 180dtsi too for two years that bike used to constantly give me a fuel average of 44kmpl under any riding conditions and the best which i got from the pulsar was 59kmpl thats phenomenal i would say.

I would suggest you to consider Honda Unicorn or the Suzuki GS150R along with what you have mentioned.

im gettin a mileage of 55 now...i hav heard many pulsar owners claiming mileage of 35...

so the point is on how you maintain and ride the bike....pulsar is a good bike but i think on the long run it may lose to honda's machine....
                          this is just my view..

then i suppose except for superior suspension , hunk is not superior than extreme .

Oops...I meant Xtreme is better than the Hunk in this aspect.

I am yet to calculate, but I filled 11 litres of petrol in my hunk with the reading at 900, bike was on reserve. Now the reading is 1350 and the bike is still to come on reserve...I think atleast another 50 kms before it comes on reserve. Mileage will work out to ~45kmpl. I think this is wonderful as most of my riding is with pillion. And consistently in the range of 60-70 kph.

A friend who owns a p150 (UG3) is getting a mileage of 40 at the most. So I also believe it all comes to maintenance.

But look at the mileage this way.
Consider your average travel per day is X kms. So in a month it will be 30X kms. Add 15% to this figure (for weekend rides and stuff). Now simply divide this figure with the mileage you will get. The answer is litres of petrol per month. Multiply this with the price of petrol.
Once you get this, keep varying the mileage by a little (maybe 30, 35, 40, 45, 50) etc. You will see that the real difference (>300) occurs if you are travelling more than 2000 or so kms per month. In an excel sheet put this data..the column and row numbers dont change. (check attached image)

Use this format. In the B4 cell (where you see 1293.75) put this formula
                              =(((C2*30)+(15*(C2*30)/100))/C3)*C4

Keeping kms per day as 30, and just varying mileage the costs work out like this - for 30kmpl- Rs.1725 pm.
for 35 kmpl - 1479 pm (Mileage of Bullet 350)
for 40 kmpl - 1294 pm (Worst mileage of Hunk)
for 45 kmpl - 1150 pm (Average expected mileage of Hunk/Xtreme)
                              for 50 kmpl - 1035 pm (Mileage of P150, Uni, GS150R).

So for saving Rs.115 per month (cost of one movie ticket), if you want to ride a 5+ year old design, which is so common that a certain colour (black) no longer turns heads, which uses tyres which are smaller in diameter and so on and so forth. Go ahead buy the P150...or else go for the Hunk...I rest my case (No hard feelings pulsarians, I love the bike to...it is the pioneer but every lion has to give over his pride to the younger lion sometime)...
