    Hi der,
I am planning to buy a new bike i am a college goin student and my daily runnin is bout 40 kms.. i am lookin for a bike which got good speed, power and has a smooth ride.
I never owned a bike but i rode GS150R and i liked the bike... My liking goes for apache too it has got more power than GS150R but im worried coz its a TVS bike... Will it be good for long run??
    My budget is 65-70K.

GS150R and RTR family are completely Diff bikes in character.....
if you 're after the things in bolds, go for the GS, for everything else RTR (choose any 160,FI or the 180 they'll keep you entertained with no probs in engine whatsoever but dont expect good resale )

RTR and GS are from same Suzuki FXR 150 gene.. So don't worry about the engine.. Bother will last a lot longer..

VIN!!! go for rtr 180 without any confusion. It will never let you down. Check the ownership thread for more info, though our rtr diehard fan Renny had already mentioned the difference. You already rode gsr, so now test ride the rtr and soon you will find out what your heart says. Try the white rtr180.

It's pretty good for long run, many of our xbhps are rtr tourer, see the tourer thread and you'll find out. I dont know about the svc guys but rtr doent have much problem except for its tires are not good as mrf or irc, take a look at the ownership thread for details

@VIN !, As renny says, both are completely different bikes, one is commuter the other is performance (ripping), the choice should be very easy depending on requirements. Else you can include more 150cc bikes in your list and then take a call.....if GS is there in your list why not Uni ? just a suggestion...

Unicorn would be the best for comfortable riding within 150cc segment and CBZ extreme is little better in case of performance (it also uses the same engine of uni...a little bit modified)...but my opinion is test ride the bikes and listen to your heart mate.

you wont have any complaints regarding the engine and all as i've already mentioned...
but like you've mentioned, i think you are more into relaxed riding and smooth motoring, for that please consider HUNK,UNI too.....

if you want POWER then rtr is the choice for you, take a test ride & you will feel the difference, & there is no issue of reliability in rtr, be sure about it

If you want a smooth bike go for the GS, or if you want more power go for the RTR 180.

GS150R is a good bet considering your college going needs & will be maintanence-free as well if your pocket-money source for running bike on daily basis... If u are into earning by your self, then go for rtr 180/160-fi as both as fast bikes as well but I will not suggest the same considering above conditions if fulfilled.... Also, other alternative can be P-180 if U can extend your budget a further.

Both the bikes mentioned (Suzuki&TVS) will be low on resale. If you are having some doubts about TVS quality, I am owning a 50K kms.old TVS Fiero F2 also with a sealed engine.
Now it comes down to your choice-whether you want a hot&wild gf (RTR)who gets a bit irritated in family G2Gs (read mid rpm vibes), or a sauve&composed woman (GS150) who makes you forget where you are! (read butter smooth power delivery)
