  • My dream bike

First of all thank u for approving me as a member of the "THE INDIAN BIKING COMMUNITY"

Within next one and half month i am planning to get one bike and considering the location i live my first preference will be power
    2nd comes the mileage
Rest i can adjust with, but i am not interested in 150cc bikes. I live in darjeeling where the slope is somewhere between 30 degrees to somwhere above 45 degrees
So considering this i am somewhat attracted towards pulsar220 DTSI one but i have not driven that machine and don't know whow will it perform in hills especailly mileage ,handling
I hope all of you will help me out as soon as possible so that i can go and book it soon to get the machine before the new year

    Thanking u all in advance

What u exactly need is a Torque machine - which can easily pull you to the top of the hill.......
Consider FZ - but since u do not like 150cc segment
      Go for RTR180.....

Yes RTR180 will be a good torque machine. 220 is also fine but i feel RTR180 is lighter in weight so it is easy to ride in hilly area.

if your heart says P220,just go for it...
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

Pulsar 220 or rtr 180 . you should take a TD . what is your max. budget and mileage you expect from your bike ?

                Hi-Torque engine

Karizma has a long stroke engine, higher cc and produces torque at lower rpm,all these are needed for hilly areas.Torque at low rpm means u can ride in high gear with less speed without shifting gear so u save on fuel and unnecessary gear shifts. But karizma spare parts are very costly and not available easily, also it is heavier so less power to weight ratio.

TVS RTR 180 more power to weight ratio, light weight bike easy to manouvere, cheap spares and very relaiable.

P220 specs of engine are good, engine also is good but for short term,in long term engine looses out on refineness.Less reliability and poor quality of bajaj is a big hurdle in purchasing the bike otherwise it would have been the leader.

                Unicorn is good in 150cc.

Yes, the 220 would be a good choice. You can even consider Bullet.

in the hills, u'll need an FI unit for better performance. if budget is not a big constraint, go for the new ZMR. Zma has proved its mettle in such areas and now it comes with a fuel injection. Go for a ZMA otherwise a P220 should also suffice your needs very well.
Test drive and then only decide!!
