This happened to me once on a mucky road which had seen rains 15 minutes ago. The road had become rather slippery due to a lot of muck and wet mud which had accumulated on the road. I was riding around 40kmph and came across a lady riding rather slowly so i gunned the throttle and overtook her only to realise a Esteem had done the same on the opposite side of the road. My immediate reaction was to brake and take her away from the oncoming traffic. But the tyres somehow locked and the bike's tail stepped out, i sensed it and immediately left the brakes. This happened 2 twice in a span of 3-4 seconds but the bike did not fall down or slide.

Yes, its very difficult to upset the R15's balance-mine was standing rock still even after hitting a pedestrian who jumped in front of my bike at 60+kmph, read here: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...tml#post324641

There's no way to install leg guard in this bike. What happens if the bike fell while riding? Does it protect the leg without leg guard? Any saftey measure in this bike?

I don't care about the bike being damaged while falling but the important think for me is my leg.

Also what about the safety feature of Karizam ZMR as well?

        Any input from you guys?
R15 has awesome looks, but the feature list does not end there. A leg can be broken in a Car accident also. So if there is a phobia for accidents in your mind, I would suggest you stay away from bikes altogether. Accidents apart R15 is an amazing bike and I see no reason why you should not buy it.

It is very difficult to unsettle the R15. Even upon hard braking I had a few instances where the wheel slid (possibly because the brake locked) but the bike just goes straight.

I did fall once in a much filled pothole at 10-15kmph speed. Fell because I was braking for the pothole (or crater I should call it), didn't realize the muck and didn't have enough speed to carry on. It is not the leg but it is the elbow that could have taken a shot but my DSG Nero did its job.

BTW, bikes don't fall so easily if you are in a straight line. Once at night I was doing over 50 KMPH on my Victor and one drunkard jumped into my arms from the divider. The Handlebar got bent, my left wrist swollen, left RVM broken, fairing cracked but the bike didn't fall.

                        Hi nexgen

I did not read the whole thread before posting this reply as I am in a hurry.
I had been riding R15 for last 12K Kms which includes 2 accident and 1 being major. I dont want to talk about my hospital experiences here but some other things that you need to know.

R15 has got the stability that no other bike can offer right now(not considering Ninja, didnt test drive it, sorry didnt test 'ride' it). But other than that there are so many factors that you should be concerned about for ex: braking! I believe that braking is more important than speeding. And R15 does that perfectly. It stops exactly where you want to. And there are so many other things: stability, confidence, handling etc etc

Verdict: Your legs wont be damaged! Side fairings help. But an accident is an accident. If you are touring or doing insance speeds then take care of your riding gears. You cannot complain that you were doing 130kmph and could not guage the corner just coz you were crouching.! Ride safe and R15 is all the way to go. Nothin else to say!

                        Hope this helps. Cheers!
                        Fear is the Trigger!

Bro, don't be pessimistic, buy any bike you want, the r15 is just as safe as any other bike, the question is...are you a safe rider?

I gun the throttle, the motorbike wails, the forks heave up, the revs climb, my view blurs, air gushes in my lid, muscles tighten, street lights streak. Just another day at work...
