i bought unicorn due to suggesting by xBP memebers, and i am fully satisfied i am daily communicating 55-60KM,and it really didn't feel anything after riding that much, very good bike.mine highest speed i got till yet is 82KMPH,but as road are not that good otherwise can get a lot higher then that.its not old fashioned who cares man,if u care about other people that how they like your bike pretty or old fashioned then u can't get what u want as u are saying bike for lifetime.
I was thinking same things, and gonna get p150 most likely for looks only but i want best bike so got uni vs GS150R,and due to some reason i got uni and i don't regret a bit till yet.

I would suggest a Honda Unicorn. 5 of my friends bought a Unicorn who had requirements same as yours. Though the bike has some issues like sometimes water enters the fuel tanks, the bike gets really cold and will give u trouble in first 5 seconds from start but then they are corrected with a different fuel tank lid in the new version(dunno abt the problem which happens during the start i guess it still persists) .Its the smoothest bike i have ridden. Balance of cost, mileage, comfort, looks, speed etc

Also for GS 150 check out the reviews properly and then buy the bike. Cos recently a friend of mine bought the bike and some parts started rusting in the rains....he raised the matters to the compaines and then the company had to buy back the bike from him. Just confirm

Respect the nature and it will respect you back.....

            Cheers!!!!
