  • Current P200/P220/ZMR

    Hi All,

I am currently having P200 with me. done 25K KMS with it,, it gave me good performance.done touring and city sprints with it.

Now big change is happening in life..I m getting a new job in delhi

i'll be moving there... i am not sure how much touring is left in me.
i am confused about weather to keep this old bike or get a new one.

now if i go for new one.. should i go for performance and features of P220 or the ZMR all new AVATAR...

The old one i wana keep but since it has been ridden enough and also there are some issue which i m not able to sort out are troubling me again and again...

Also i m bit hesitant in going for bajaj as the service an reliability is very low

please shower your suggestions,,, if you want me to keep the old one do tell me where i can get ALL problems of handlinng sorted out...
Only thing Gods envy of mortals is that they ride.

Some time back even I was thinking of exchanging my P200 with the new 220. But ultimately I decided to stay with the 200. Main reason is the superb Bajaj quality and awesome service (not).

If you are thinking of taking a P220 after this, my opinion would be to stay with the current bike. But if you are inclined towards a ZMR, then I have no idea. Ya its great for touring, but you'd be doing city commuting, right?

yupp i'll be commuting,, but ya touring is not written-off....
confusion is growing day by day,,,
have gone throught stats and all P220 is all worth but still something is stopping me.. the difference might not be too big in terms of power...plus i m plannin a babay SBK soon so .... might stick with this.. also the build quality in P220 is a big let down for me... FI version still looks classy..

Also i'll be able to sell my bike around 45 Max.. then need to put extra 30 something to get it OTR delhi... is it worth???

i think only the last week will decide.. .. .. ..

if your P200 is in good condition,I don't see any reason for you to go for P220... considering the R15 also eh?spoke about mini SBK...

                My suggestion:
If you can wait for 2-3 months, then wait and see if there are any good changes in the motorcycle market(New bike launches). You might get the one form them.

I would suggest you Zma-R, you can buy this bike at the cost of P220 (may be even less), as you know it's proven machine be it touring, commuting, etc etc and importantly your pocket will not get strained.
ZMR w/o doubt is also a nicely packaged bike, you can buy it depending on your budget.

I have a slight different view.... stay with your P200. It has completed only 25k.

All bikes are prone to issues. Regular maintenance is the key for all mechanical stuff - be it a motorcycle or a heavy duty mining machine. And there isn't any mechanical issue that cannot be resolved. If you think Bajaj folks are not doing a good job, take it to a good mechanic and get it throughly checked.

Take it along with you. By doing so, you add to your savings for your baby SBK plan.

You have taken the best decision pal... i say that... and save the money for a good mini SBK... coz from a P200 to P220 or ZMR is not the worthy upgrades...
