    Rd-350

There are 6 RD 350's for sale here in Bangalore. All these 6 machines are from out of state and have clear papers and with one guy. But they are poorly maintained and may have to shell out between 50K and 60K to get them back to showroom condition. I am told parts are not a problem. My question is what will be the approx going price of these machines based on the estimated restoration cost.?
Any Info will be much appreciated.

Nothing comes close to the powerband of a piped two stroke, if u get an rd in immaculatte condition unsleeved barells 0.25 0.50 oversize offer the owner a packing kit cross check it and buy it, but these dont come cheap >> 1.2L
the only thing u need to worry after getting an rd is you need to have a good engine doctor for it, else the rx's will be faster.

Sudharma sir i think you are talking about dream machines ..

          hey nano.
sourcing the spares of either bike in mumbai /pune is never a problem.
1 year ago, all one could ask for a reasonably kept rd machine in running condition was 15-25k .
heck, now you d be lucky to get one for thrice this price.
bmw, if u get a good deal, would be 125-200k.
however, long-time-no-see stuff is your cup of tea, and two strokes are extinct now. rd though much commoner now, is the thing to go for.
20 years down the line, you d be the star of your neighborhood bike afficianados.
i presume you have an alternate steed/ride at hand for days when your baby throws tantrums.
also, i wish to tell you about an rd at indore. maybe yours for 30-35k. may be missing few accesory parts, but may be a good donor bike.

Thanks a lot for all your suggessitions.
well regarding the BMW it was something that wouldn't have given me much of the problems, thats y i wanted to buy it over an RD coz RD was n e ways a better n more available option.
m getting a deal from pune for an RD.
the guy is asking for 95k n bike is in excellent condition according to him.
i duno as wat should i look up for coz anything over 20bhp will be powerful to me today so i wun kno as wer it wud lag.
By the way there's an LT and HT version for the 350.
i kno the difference but wat should i go for.
and do u ppl think the money asked from him is a good enough deal?

and 1 more thing is it possible to get a bmw for 1.5 to 2 ??

there's a Yezdi parked under my building in a terrible condition.
            rusted till core.
            can it be remaked??
it has the engine bt i dun think it wud work coz i m getting this bike for FREE the owner is outta town now, he says if u want it keep it.

i shouldn't go for it right??
Giving a lot to a fiero.

On RD/BMW i have already said my opinion... as far as Yezdi is concerned i don't prefer the bike anyday, my uncle had that machine which he spend a lot of money for the maintenance and atlast sold out, the battery is one of the main problem for Yezdi and many others, am not saying RD don't have maintenance, it surely does... when considering spending money for any of these(RD/Yezdi) the satisfaction factor much more from an RD...
@Nano don't think i am flattering an RD here... coz i like that machine so much man... when i sold my '88 model RX100 i wanted to own an RD, unfortunately i don't have the moolah to buy one and atlast ended up in an FZ16(for a loan)... and one thing i wan't to say, don't think tooooo much, jus listen to your heart and buy the bike which you like, coz everybody have their own tastes...
