decided to buy Pulsar 220 DTS-F but need some info

    decided to buy Pulsar 220 DTS-F but need some info

    i hear that the Engine is changed for New model PULSAR 220 DTS-F when compare to old model pulsar 220 DTSI and Pulsar 220 DTS-FI.... i m going to buy this bike pls tell me abt the NEW Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-F...

    many of ownership threads and some where else in Internet i saw pulsar 220 has many problems like cold start etc... Is this in old model or in New one ...
    pls tel me abt the performance of the NEW BAJAJ PULSAR 220 DTS-F
    i m already decided to buy this one but i m afraid about these lines like "this bike have to visit service points frequently" and "this bike has many problems like cold start and some gear problems and Etc.. " and etc...

      First P220 DTS-I and P220 DTS-F are same bikes. Before this there was P220 DTS-FI which had fuel injection while in this DTS-I enginer fuel injection is replaced by a bigger carb - which reduced cost significantly. Along with this new bike has more power than FI version.
      As far as I read/heard about new 200 DTS-I / F it is a good bike with most of the things sorted out and no major problem reported.

      max power: 21.04 PS @ 8500 rpm
      max torque: 19.12 NM @ 7000 rpm
      0-100kmph(from bikeindia):13.15s
      100-0kmph(from bikeindia):3.96s

        There is a new p220 coming up in next couple of days, its gonna be a naked-version without fairing (like FZs)... also expect price to be a bit less + some more power, efficiency & new looking FATEST INDIAN in your garage... THINK ABOUT THIS ONE BEFORE U GO FOR YOUR OPTION.
