    Hello xBHPians ,
    I'm Going to buy a New Bike in two weeks time , i'm unable to decide between
    P180 UG-4 and P220 Dtsi F .
    I Travel daily 50 kms , in which nearly 12 kms is heavy traffic bourne city and remaining Highways. I also want to do short tours of 300-400 kms once in a While . After reading all the related stuff about P220Dtsi and P180 , i;m in a dilemma Because Mileage is also one my important criteria , anything around 45Kmpl would do . P180satisfies this area , but the thing is about the pleasure of short tours which im worried about , And i also like The projectors of P220 . But it doesnt give anything around 40 Kmpl . So Please Help me choose one .

    Also , the series of Problems of P220 are leaving me in a big dilemma. Kindly suggest a soulution .

        well you cant have everything right...for city riding and short tours 180 is fair enough....220 if ridden sanely that too if its tuned for mileage will give 45+ in cities...but when ripped would give 35+...i suggest you to take a 180 and put up hid for better lighting

          my choice too is the 220.. i have one.... it gives me around 34 - 35 kmpl... i guess a difference of 6 - 7 kms shouldnt matter... long trips are a total bliss on it... great cruising speeds of 70 kmph at 4500 rpm... do i need to say more...? hehe

            Buy a 180 and plonk in a HID.

              If u want power,speed,big bike feel,good head lights,except some less FE than p180 go for 220. Altough it has a little problems it a very good VFM bike.

              But u mentioned that d mileage is ur important criteria so go for p180.It is also a very good bike for higway driving & touring.

                Well you cannot have the cake & eat it too right?

                If I were you, I would priortize the needs, either listen to your brain or listen to your heart. If brain says FE & heart says headlamps, go with what you like the most (the priority) & most importantly, take a decision that you'll not regret. Happy selection & enjoy the rides with your choice

                  my choice, 220.
                  - bigger headlights are only one thing that you are talking about. there will be many other technical advantages.
                  - ridden sanely with small ripping sessions, 220 will return 40+.
                  - P180 will be running on 95% capacity at 100-110KMPH on long tours. P220 will be running on 75% of its capacity. long engine life, less wear and tears.
                  - P180 if taken above 100-110, will give 30 something mileage on long tours. as its running on its peak etc.. P220 will give 35+ at that, because that's normal speed for it . more relaxed touring for bigger engine and good aerodynamics on tours.

                  It's a big one time investment, should buy best model.. good looks etc. are also minor things..

                  if you are a ripper with itchy right wrist, no second thoughts, go for p220. as both will return similar mileage under ripping..

                    well i would like to say that if budget is not an issue then simply go for P220, trust me later you may realize "when i had sufficient funds with me then i must had gone with P220"

                    So P220 is all i will suggest..!!

                      The new Pulsar 220 without the fairing would be a ideal bet for you. Its also value for money compared to 180. Check it out...
