best thing would be to take a test ride of both bikes in city and if possible highways and than finalise as the upcoming bikes apache 220 or fazer 250 are all talks in the air till the company themselves say that they are sure of launching it.

Anyday.. R15 over ZMR.. maybe P220.. even Fi if you wish.. but not ZMR..
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

R15 in my opinion ( as far as your height is concerned ).

But it depends what type of riding you generally prefer. I mean only city ride or tour. so you can chose accordingly between the 3 bikes: R15,220 or ZMR.

          @Sheelpriye,

can you suggest something from your end. Since you are contradicting everybody else here. So i think you might be having something else in your mind

I am not contradicting, if you read the finer lines, these are FACTS which people ignore

^^doesn't everyone think that we have had too many vs vs threads and discussions
and as far as suggestion goes, you can be the best judge of yourself and in his case a good test ride shall clear most doubts(applicable to most Which Bike threads) post which(if doubts remain) he can give his feedback and we may reply(help) accordingly:]

@lijogk--why aren't you considering P-220(both versions) and RTR 180 along with ZMR and R15?

hmmm chill pill man.. .. just joking..

You are right the concerned person should take test ride of the bike that he wants to buy..

But i believe its better that he gets a clear picture from the discussion here that which bike according to the members here will suite him the best ( may be R15,220,ZMR,A180 etc)..

So in brief, we are here to help the member/members who put forth their questions... Period

                Exactly my point,
No rantings/flamings/sms type language and mine is bigger/better than yours,

its time we take a stand against this

Go for R15. Perfect for your size. I ride Zma-R, but thats because R15 was out of my budget, and zma was the next best thing in my book.

an R15 can give ~50kmpl when cruising at @5K in top gear
and how can a heavier, bigger cc motorcycle give better FE?
                  .......
                  I can...by cruising @4k rpm . I bet I can bettered it on a R15 or ZMR.
I fill rs.500 worth of fuel every time. Takes me to 480 to 500kms.

Thank you for appreciating my "riding skill". Though don't tell anyone that speed freaks me out .

There is not a big difference in case of the zmr and the zma-r the zmr looks more like a modified bike (not offensing anyone its just my personal opinion) the R15 looks pretty good technically also and the technology it uses our indian manufacturers may take 10 years to come up with. instead of going for the ZMR you can also look the RTR 160 or 180 also as they are also gr8 bikes.

Errrr...PGM-FI, Oil Cooled, Rear disc, 6 odd sensors and Superb digital console arent any small differences buddy. Makes it only bike technically advaced after R15, though R15 is leaps ahead of ZMR (Thanks to chassis, crosslink mono).

U should not be cursing yourself later. Remember...there is always a choice. Hold on for a while, who might know that FZ-250 might also surfaces up... remember that in 2008 1st quarter, FZ16 mule was caught testing on highways.

I myself is refraining otherwise I'd had taken p220 last week itself, was hoping too much from Auto Expo this year but there was none to be cheered for.
But its totaly speculatory , no information from the company people too. If You can wait for it( Time is uncertain) , then might be a good one.

AFAIK , there no test ride available for both the bikes , unless you have friends who own them.
