  • 70K Bike suggestions

    My requirements are
    1. Commuting
    2. Touring
    3. Street driving (Most important of all!)

    What I want
    1. Soft on butt
    2. Damn good handling
    3. I don't need rocket speeds but 150Km/h would do . Kiddin!
    4. Reliable, like my ZMA(its no more alive!).

I have enough brainstorming sessions with myself and finally got down to the list which goes as
    1. P180
    2. A180
    3. CBZ Xtreme
    4. HUNK
    5. P150
    6. further additions

Out of which choice no.2 is unlikely, cause I tried to rip it and it vibrated like tractor at 55Km/h . No offence to anyone, personal feeling!
Please don't suggest FZ, fazer etc..shelling out 70K for them would be by no way VFM! Reasons are 38Km/l mileage, Comparatively slower acceleration, uncomfortable riding position for long tours, though very stable at road, but still not enough.
Please help guys, I am damn confused!
Na tha kuch to khuda tha, kuch na hota to khuda hota, duboya mujhko hone ne, na main hota to kya hota!

If you can extend your Budget a little more , go for P220 " S " Man , its kickass. Just awesome just today i got to ride ,it it feels something different altogether. If test drive is available , Please try this one.
If u Wanna Break The "LAWS" , Break "NEWTON's "

You can also think for P220S its only 2-3k more and hell lot of performance and an allround package.
Never upgrade without getting your basics RIGHT.

Man Delhi is a place where the bikes are cheapest than anywhere else.
as far as my knowledge goes , its somewhwere around 73-74k. May be Delhi xBhpians can help you, or you yourself call up the PBK.

Its a normal Pulsar 220 without the fairing. The fairing has been replaced with the headlight of normal pulsar. (Read P180). So you see the bike is lighter now and weighs close to P180 but more power. Rear Disc is still there. Refer to this thread for complete information. Link

Price will be 74-75000 in delhi. Bike is the best value for money.

Technically there is no change. Only Projection Headlamps removed with the fairing.

Without, fairing whats the point left in 220S if the looks are identical to 180 and who cares about extra 4BHP and 20Km/hr speed difference. Any suggestions?

you cant feel the power nor torque of the bike by typing dude,go have a test ride of 180 and 220 and see if you can write the same statement again here

                    Hia sata,
I have ridden both and liked both But seriously didn't found any difference apart from projector and power! both were comfortable in rides as well as intial throttle was good enough!

                    NOW WHAT>

since your concerned about handling....hunk tops the list....
                      perfomance is satisfactory...
blindly go for hunk or xtreme...

IMO the thread starter will not be satisfied by a lower cc bike ....because of his association with ZMA.

if u were so happy with ur ZMA (approx. 75k - Delhi), why don't u consider it.... or else p180 (approx. 68k - Delhi) suits your requirement perfectly and its been there for ages.

+1...I'll go with that...even the 220s makes sense if it's within your budget
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

Thanks for the concern all you!
Actually I would have bought ZMA if I had to, without even asking anyone else....but I respect my housemembers opinion and according to them, they aren't too keen on getting the same thing back and revisiting the haunted memories! (I lost ZMA a brutal way! for free!!). So I have to respect them.
Yeah I want above 150cc, Hunk, CBZ are way too behind my mindset. >150CC is required anyhow!

Boss.. what else do you expect from P180 & P220.. when the equipments are just same.. except the Engines.

Riding stance, Comfort, dynamics, quality levels... etc. etc. all are same on both the bikes. So if you are sitting on P220 S, you wont feel any difference untill you fully open the throttle. And just couple of thousands more... P220 S makes more sense.

You are an ex- Zma owner. So you will enjoy the madness of P220. You might miss the refinement.. but the behavior of bike is fun to play around with.

If you have a GF.. it will give you reasons again and again to ask her to hold you tightly. (Read.. P220 is the fastest Indian.)

And talking about fuel efficiency.. if ridden under mixed conditions.. P220 should give you more KMPLs. ANd easy on pocket in terms of Long term maintainance.
