    Bajaj P220 or Avenger?

    Hey guys i am not new to xbhp...but i dnt post much but i keep an eye on every thread...Well i am planning to buy a bike in may but i am damm confused between P-220 DTSI & AVENGER....i have done a lot of research on both the bikes....Well rite now i am riding my dad's bike SUZUKI ZEUS...As this month i will be getting my licence i am ready to buy my 1st bike......Well i am 5 ft 7 inch...& weigh around 90+ ....I hav ridden many bikes like UNICORN, GS150R, RTR 180 , ZMA......i knw the pro & cons of the 2 bikes ...i dnt knw which one suites me ...i travel around 15-20 kms a day....may be yearly once or twice a 100km tour....To be frank i LOVE avenger & i like P-220..i hope there is a differecnce b/w Love & like.......Mileage not a prob..Max Budget 85k.....I am wating for the replies of who has ridden both the bikes....Plz dont suggest any other bikes......I am not a cruizer type...But It does not mean tht i cant become a Cruize type..i mean everyone who buys a Avenger is not a cruize type. Thy will become a cruzier only after thy buy the bike rite.....

    The Problem rite now i am having is 2 of my friends hav RTR 180 & ZMR ...so if we go for a long drive i dnt want to look like a ASS*** driving @ 80 on AVVY ...as those guys will be hitting 120+ mark.......I will be mostly driving in 90% city......I am ready to face any prob given by the bikes like Fairing issues in P-220 or Taking U-Turns on Avenger...Guys Plz help me ..Most of the guys i ask says go for the Pulsar 220...The thing is i dont want to regret the Bike after i Buy it...

      go in for the 220 as you have mentioned your friends have machines that will leave the avenger behind.I am also owning a 220 AND IT HANDLES LIKE A DREAM,AND EVEN FOR ME ITS MY 1ST BIKE.JUST FOLLOW THE RUN-IN OF THIS BIKE,AND GRADUALLY YOU CAN FEEL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE ENTIRE BIKE.Also checking both the bikes on the dyno will not give u a clear picture as due to the engine being abused from day 1 (they dont follow run-in for the bikes in the dyno) the engine feel is really harsh and you will feel the 220 is not worth it.So just think properly and get the one you like the best!
      when the strech is empty, my bike tells me to wring its throttle and give my commands!

        OT : you are 26 years old .... and you will be getting your driving license this month ?

        when you are cool with fairing vibes and other small niggles .... then at such pricetag your sure gonna loose somethng if you wont pick the BEAST [220] .
        ive ridden avenger many times but it sure misses the low end grunt as compared to 220 dtsi. and i dint felt the confidence which i get in my 220. although its very smooth .... but at the end of the i will surely get my hands on a 220 if given an option with an AVVY.

        TD BOTH BEFORE CHOOSING.

          I am 18 not 26......Guys i am still not convinced abt P-220 ...I dont know y but i am waiting for more replies which suppots AvENGER

            dude in your profile it was mentioned 26 years of age , which you have edited now..
            and by your avataar its hard to beleive that you are 18.
            anyways i dont want to discuss your age here and go OT. its better to stop it right here.

            and if you are waiting for posts which support avenger .... then my friend just go and have a look on avenger ownership thread .... you will surely find some good posts on BAJAJ AVENGER.

            but when you compare it with a 220 dtsi..... then you have to beleive that the latter is better in each and every department.

            FYI you just cant COMPARE a cruiser with a semisports bike .

            and as far as i can sense .... you have ALREADY decided in your mind that you will pick avenger anyday.... you just want some posts which proves its a better machine than the other ..... so that you can make up your mind.
            just go and pik avenger because if you dont .... YOU WILL REGRET.

              For taking avenger compared with pulsar 220dtsi u can go with pulsar.To compare pulsar with bullet electra you can go with bullet in terms of reliability and life of engine but you won't get a sporty look.
