    Thunderbird TS or Classic 500

    Hey All,
    have planned a trip to the East(India Nepal and bhuta) due in late Sep this year..... have booked a 500 classic... just not able to decide whether i should embark on my odyssey on a 500 or a TBTS(alternative)
    Please advice on various aspects which mainly bothering me are:
    1.) whether the new c500 will hold on or not.
    2.) In case of breakdown.... which way do i look???
    3.) Has RE improvised on the earlier design issues... brake pedal, engine knocking, Hydraulic pisto oil pressures n stuff... they said they have.. but cant trust the producer can we....
    4.) I love the bike... only thing dont wanna feel stranded in the middle of ????

      You have chosen the best bullet yet in its history...don't worry. have fun with it t
      its a completely different bullet from previous ones, as you would know! and should be much much more reliable and tantrum free..moreover, its already being sold in europe for over an year before it came here, so it should be quite a proven product and the reliability should be just fine

        hi, even I am planning to buy the classic500, but I have heard there are issues with it's fuel injection, high speed stability and vibrations. can anyone throw some light on this.

          go for CL500 blindly......

            the delivery has been scheduled and committed for september...
            and m still not sure... but something tells me gonna go for a Cl500...

              I have heard the same too. Read it on the royalenfield forum. Bike doesnt cross 100kmph and its very unstable at speeds above 3digits. Problems with the fuel injection. I have heard from few TBTS users that the tyres are also not good on the Classic.

                issue with the CL500 is that you will need to have the digital tool to adjust the air fuel mixture at the higher altitudes. Which is done quite easily on a carburettor. And is even more easier on a FI bike, if you have the tool ( its just a matter of connecting, powering up, adjusting to the best possible setting, and testing the bike ).

                Other than that the drop handlebars of the TBTS would be more comfortable. Thats the only thing i can see.

                18 inch tyres should give better handling and grip, though at the cost of ride quality. Dunno what actual owners have reported.

                  Classic 500 or Electra?

                  I have a similar question, posted on a different thread. My dilemma is choosing between a Cl500 and an Electra TS. Any help appreciated!
