  • rtr refresh vibes free?????

first my mind was for hunk but it changed to rtr(160 or180)
these are some last few permalink from my thread "gs or hunk"

please don't merge this thread moderater sir

"hello friends changed my mind from hunk to rtr160 since it met all my requirements and i fell in love with it after test riding it
now should i prefre rtr160 with rear disc brake or with drum or rtr180
fi is out of my budget
if i take 160 should i go for change in the tyres to tubeless
what are the points to check ina new bike at showroom
what accessories should i ask for

Pick up the 180 with or without the rear disc (depending on your budjet). The 180 is more flickable than the 160, smoother pull at low speeds and 17" tubeless wheels at similar fuel efficiency.
160 has 18" wheel at rear and finding a tubeless is a nightmare. well, almost.
No accessories needed unless they are selling the saree guard, crash guard and number plates separately

    what about the vibrations
is it less in rtr180 than 160
    also mileage difference
if not tubeless then which tyre better to go in 160 or stock one is gud enough
    mileage is a concern

showroom guy said vibration problem is solved in rtr160 refresh
did 160 had lap timer and top speed
    record before refresh model
the RTR 160 refresh has lesser vives than the RTR. I did not ride the RTR 180 beyond test drives but those who ride them regularly say it is smoother and vibes lesser than the 160. When I rode it I did not feel any vibes at least at the RPM where the 160 would vibe. The gear shift too is better in the 180.
Mileage of 180 they say did not go down from the 160. Some even said it is better. Check the ownership thread to get a better picture. The stock tire is not as bad. You can happily see it through the summer. Then get a new tyre based on what is available in the market. Getting in the Unicorn's tuff-up tube is a useful option."

Get the 180 but the mileage will be around 40-45...

RTR 180 is not coming with FI.

Pick up the 180 with or without the rear disc (depending on your budjet). The 180 is more flickable than the 160, smoother pull at low speeds and 17" tubeless wheels at similar fuel efficiency.

The 180 is not available without the rear disc, is less fuel efficient than the 160 and both are twins in braking, cornering and flickability department.

          what about the vibrations
is it less in rtr180 than 160

Welcome to the RTR tribe, the salesperson fooled you, the bike VIBRATES, though it gets lesser after the kms, but it never vanishes.

          He's dumb.

Perfect answer to your question from an owner!
I would have gone for the present carburetted version of the 180&not bothered whether an Fi version is coming or not.
Its got everything to keep you hooked. Tighten the footpegs and engine mount bolts once in a while-those are the major sources of vibes IMO.

Sir the pegs cannot be tightened, they're in place by the split pins, i've to fit the R15's rear pegs at the rear by putting a cloth in place to stop them vibrating!!!!

Yes, the engine mount bolts should be regularly checked.
