  • 5'3'' (60 Kg) What should be my first bike ?

Well guys .. Alast I found a great forum dedicated for bikers . I am a newbie to this forum and biking . Just learnt biking from a relative's CT100 Now that am confident to drive..am confused in choosing a right bike for my height(5'3'') and weight (60kg) .. My budget can be extended till 70K and am interested to try out 150ccs(never sat on a 150cc till now) too but not sure if they suit ma body.....i dont wanna look tiny eithr when i ride ..I live in Chennai and am gonna take this bike to my office regularly and hence Only city drives usually not > 20 kms per day .My prime concerns are

    1.Driving comfort and seating position
    2.Looks
3.Decent pillion seating for saree women
    4.mileage

Please do suggest a bike for my need . i see you guys doing a great job advising so far ..

HH Hunk, HH CBZ-X... good looks, good average, both fits your bill the best.

GS150 is also very good, not a hit with public & i got no idea about the price.

I would have suggested FZ16, but your budget is 70k n FZ is 75K (dunno how much in chennai)

unicorn or gs150r... gs150r is bit heavy..if ur confident then go ahead with it...it has some extra features[6 gears, digital console] compared to unicorn.. have a test ride of both and get the one which suit's you...

I think the Uni would be the only 150cc bike u'd be comfortable with for the height & balanced weight. The RTR only looks small but is high enough to swing the leg over. But that is lighter & well balanced. Even the FZ16.

My personal recommendation is to go for P150 or FZ16 or RTR160.

These are lighter, low in saddle height and easily controlable. With your physique these are better options than heavy and relatively high bikes like GS and Uni.

short guys has some good option starting from small RTRs to FZ; all will look fine on manlets, u have given some criteria for ur bike selection and i feel CBZx , unicorn ,gs150r ,pulsars all will do just fine .... unicorns look is very subjective .... i like it .. if u too; go for it it meets all ur requirements & it has got good comfort for pillion as well.
