    Help me with my bike purchase...

    I am buying a new bike.... upgrading from a 100 cc to upwards....

    i details of my travels are:
    City travelling: 50 kms saily in delhi...
    Touring: once in 2-3 months of 100 to 200 kms...
    average req: 30 to 50 kmpl
    i require the bike for 2-3 years period of time at max....
    I am a speed junkie and require a little power...

    i have my mind set on... pulsar 220, avenger, Fazer.....
    pls suggest any other bike, other than karizma and apache as i dnt like the styling....

    budget is tied at 75k can be extended for pulsar.....

    pls help...

    i have a pillon, friend who travels with me....
    if avengers seat can be modified pls inform me bout that...... where i can modify it in delhi and the cost of it...... pls

      P220 anytime!
      it fits in your budget, its the fastest bike available by an Indian company.
      it can manage 30+ mileage.
      fazer is just crap! OVERPRICED!!!!! offers nothing just a poser bike!
      and avanger is a good bike but as u said rear seat is not comfortable.

      GO FOR P220DTSI !

        lookin at the ur daily run avenger looks more comfy but since u r a speed junkie its surely pulsar for u
        i own a pulsar and mannn the speed n the pick up dat it gives is just amazing!!
        avenger is toooo comfy but u dont get "fun" on it
        i have noot ridden the fazer but have ridden FZ S quite a few times n am sure it wont match any of ur requirements
        the pulsar gave arbd 41.3 kmpl n given my high speed riding its pretty decent
        my frnd on fz s got just 35 n on fazer it will reduce even further
        avenger gives around 35-40 as well
        so go ahead n buy the BEAST buddy!!

            fz/fazer are same.. fazer handling is just little better and is more comfortable..

            FZ is the best street bike.. but it rules only in streets got the best handling and the best braking and of course the looks... if you like stoppies then this bike does the best stoppies after 100 it will suck though

            on the other hand avenger is a cruiser.. it offers good comfort...

            P220 is just a beast.. it got the best power but if you rip the bike then won't expect mileage more than 25.. it is very heavy and has vibs..

            The best is P220 followed by Apache 180 followed by FZ..

            FAZER is just a good looking bike only for streets.. but fairing is a let down for streets..

            P220 cost 80k and FZ cost 72k..
            Riding, loving and enjoying my lord of the streets.. FZ-S...

            And dreaming of an R6/R1/FZ1/CBR 1000RR

              You won't be needing much help I think. You have eliminated pretty much everything else. So your only choice is p220 .

                  can u please tell me where in delhi i can get its seat modified to make it comfortable for the pillon...... and also please specify the cost and type of modding required.......

                    Ah! The heart beats for Avenger. Great bike in itself though not the typical choice for "a speed junkie" . My cousin went for the Avenger against my opinion (not trying to scare you . His requirement was very different.). His heart also beats for the Avenger, and there's little you can do to beat that.

                    Regarding the pillion seat. My thought exactly. Once, I also toyed with the idea on how to modify the seat had I bought the Avenger. However I got a different bike. Sorry no specific idea, though it shouldn't be very difficult.
