  • please suggest a bike

    hi,
1 of my friends wanna buy a new bike. his budget is near about 70,000 bucks.
his basic necessity is power. along with that, style n speed are also needed.
he'll be driving on rough roads especially, because he is posted in rural areas.
    please suggest.

p.s. he wished for pulsar 200, but it's too late now...

    Topic Approved.

If your friend liked the P200, then, ask him to have a detailed look at the newest Pulsar of the lot - the P220 S. It looks just like the P200 and with added goodies like the clip-ons, rear disk brake, meatier front fork, et al makes for a tremendous VFM proposition.
    :)

My friend is interested in it... but it costs a bit higher than 70...
For P220S, on-road price will come to about 80K.
So he wants to shift down a little bit...
how about CBZ extreme, apache 180, unicorn, p150, hunk etc...
      which one do u suggest??
actually, he is quite a lean fellow.
so bikes like avenger and all will not suit him that much.

He could go with the FZ, as it satisfy almost all the criteria good low end torque (gurus correct me if iam wrong) which would help him in rural driving conditions plus its stylish and I suppose it would come under 75K (dont know the actual pricing).

here's also the same problem dude.
          FZ-16 is 75k and FZ-S is 77.5k.
so on road will be 80 or even more.
suggest me something which will be on-road 70k. (it's price should be near 65k, so that on road will be around 70k).

I would have suggested RTR 180, but it should be out out budget too.. Also, its riding position it not for rough roads, puts too much pressure on back.

I would suggest CBZ Xtreme, Good for rough terrains, will suit ur budget and It has some power too.

Don't think so.. on road price is certainly more than 70k (that's after budget.. price is increased for all the models). Here in Bangalore.. Pulsar 135 used to cost 59k+ before budget.. now it's 63k approximately. So.. my suggestion would be Pulsar 150 , coz it looks similar to P200.. approximately fits the budget and after the recent upgrade got reasonably good power@15ps.

                      1) Posted in rural areas
                      2) bad roads
                      3) power
                      4) style
                      5) speed

                      HH Hunk. Go get it.

Optionally, if Suzuki SC is available, consider GS 150R.

As per the previous posts, the competition is between p150, apache rtr 160, HH Hunk, HH CBZ Extreme and Suzuki GS150.
Now, a few more factors comes into play.
My friend plans to keep the bike, not to sell it after a few years.
As far as i know, Apache and Pulsar engines start troubling after a few (2-3) years. (i have heard this fact from a few apache/pulsar users)
So, for now, i'm keeping these 2 out of loop.
GS150 is very new in the market, and as it is not tested enough on indian roads, my friend is not interested in it.

So finally, comes into play is, Hunk and CBZ Extreme.
Please suggest in between these 2.

As you have asked to tell you the bike suggestion between these two.
My choice would be Hero honda hunk. Only because of the engine refinement.
