  • Stunner or Pulsar 135 or FZ-16?

I am about to buy my first bike. I'm a college going 18yo, very light build, about 55kgs, 5'8".

I've narrowed it down to these three. Now the main concern for me isn't the usual power or even mileage. Its ease of use and handling. Although I've driven bikes before, (a P150 and an old CD-Dawn), I struggled quite a bit. So I need a forgiving ride that you can make mistakes and still get away with.

The Stunner is in pole position right now because of the Honda factor. The Pulsar 135 and FZ are the only alternatives I see in this category because the remaining bikes are either terribly under-powered and mileage-specific and have horrible looks (all the 125s basically) or are too heavy for me to manage (the 150s).

What do you guys think? Which is the smoothest of the three? I've heard some complaints of vibrations from the Stunner after 60kmph. Will that be a problem?

Feel free to suggest any other bike other than these three as well, but as you might have guessed from my three choices so far, looks matter to me.

Go for the FZ, it fits your bill perfectly.

        Ease of use
        Handling
        Looks
        Refinement

        FZ scores on all departments...

PERSEVERE... failure is not an option!

^^^ because it is not underpowered till 100kmph..

Get the FZ dude.. the best street bike...

The best handling + the best looks + the best feeling + reliability

Apache 160 is good with good power but lacks on other departments like engine refinement and it has loads of vibrations ... less torque .. it is not a smooth bike though..

FZ is more flickable in traffic than apache

Apache 180 is better than FZ ..

dude .. am gonna buy a bike next month..trust me i have the same options in mind .. plus apache rtr 160 .. but am trusting more on stunner since people say HONDA is the smoothest .. but still am on for apache 160 too ..alast now i have to decide between stunner 125 or honda 160 ..ma need is just handling and smooth riding through traffic .

stunner has a good engine...fz16 change the rear tire as soon as u buy the bike or make frequent visits to the puncturewala.pulsar 135 has 4 valve which is impressive...but built quality is the issue with bajaj bikes.for tension free easy going short rides go for stunner.2nd option fz and third p135.

some more details on riding style, riding requirements like daily distance covered, long rides? , Pillion, GF etc etc. will help..

personally, I would anyday go for P135 eyes closed in above.. IF LONG RIDES IS OUT.. as it's tank is a bit small.. for city riding and short rides.. it's a bliss..

have you already taken a test ride?

riding style, well, i'm not very aggressive on normal roads but my commute to college is on a national highway so i might push it a bit there. but even then, probably not beyond 80-90 because that road is crazy dangerous.

as for the distance covered, it will mostly be short rides in the beginning, but once i get used to the bike and comfortable in the traffic, i can start riding it to college which is about 25km according to google maps.

probably wont be riding around much with my girlfriend coz she's got her own car, but she's pretty light, so its not really a problem even if i have to.

y dont u give a try to yamaha gladiator also?? It is also a very gud bike in the 125cc segment & suits all ur requirements.

the p135 is a very gud bike but the baja has quality issues on all its bikes.

the stunner has vibration issues, but is a gud bike for short sprints.

the fz-16 is also a gud bike but is a bit costly when compared to other 150cc bikes.

test ride the bikes (gladiator especially) & take a decision.
NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT

I would say test ride with all.. and if:
                        1. posture of yourself and pillion is not a problem can go for Fz.
                        2. If posture on Fz is a prob.. than personally I would say betest thing upto 135cc segment is P135..

test ride is what should give you an answer..

                        ride on..
