The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

hey the pulsar would be a very good choice as it is really good for heavy riders and also its performance is very good
the hunk is good but its performance isn't all that great and it is known to give mileage problems
the FZ is best looking and its performance is almost as good as the 180 but it's not good for guys as big as you even I am not that comfy on it(i am 6'1" and 74)
u could consider RTR 180 as well

        Hello rattler

Well....considering your weight I would definitely suggest the Pulsar 180. But I don't expect it to give you above 45. The Hunk and FZ are bulky looking bikes and since your built is healthy they may suit you well. Don't expect FZ to give you mileage. Its just a great city bike and can be bought for the brand name. The Hunk is definitely a great bike. As you say its a balance between power and mileage. The engine is also too good. The CBZ also has the same engine but is marginally faster and drinks a liitle more than the Hunk. Both these bikes will suit your height also. My friend has Hunk and he claims it gives 50+ and I drove it once. The throttle response was pretty good and the engine is sliky smooth. The best among the lot in terms of perfomance is definitely the P180. Take a test drive of the bikes and decide. Don't even ask the the showroom guys about mileage. Another bike worth considering is the Honda Unicorn. Ask experts before buying(I am not one).

        Choose wisely.......

if you are concerned about how you will look on the bike go for extreme as it looks the longest of htem all. and if you are solely concerned about power and performance go for either fz-16 or rtr180 fi....

unicorn is also a superb bike for efficiency, comfort, smoothness and other soft things
but in the long run its underpowered ness may disappoint u
even the GS will surely be a good option
but i would have gone the pulsar anyway maintenance issues crop up more because of the rider than the bike unless u are really unfortunate
anyway dude take a test ride of all of them coz finally it's ur satisfaction that will matter coz varna long run mein pak jayega

                      hi friends,
planning to buy a new bike. my 1st bike was ct100 and it was sold last week. used it for 3 years... i am 6 feet tall and felt it not so comfy on ct100 for long rides over 20 km. Considering a fact that one of my elder cousin owns a bajaj dealership, i'm in serious trouble(parents force me to go for bajaj). some weeks before, i've posted some threads in xbhp regarding this confusion. after considering all factors, i've shortlisted pulsar 180 and cbz xtreme 2011 edition. Both bikes are unique in its own way. Pulsar is famous for its technological innovations viz. dtsi, exhaustec etc... cbz on the other hand is more reliable. My usage may be for riding around 600 to the maximum for a month and some less than 200 km touring once in two or three months. maximum speed i may take is 90 km/h and i dont like cruising at high speeds but i like a bit of ripping. Mileage i expect is around 45 which i think both the machines could give, under mixed riding styles...
if the reliability factor is not considered, both the bikes could give me 99% satisfaction. two of my friends own p150 and they said that the engine note after run in(1500-2000kms) wont be the same as when it was bought.
i think this is normal due to the gradual break in of the machine...
So friend i will be grateful to you all if you could list out the pros and cons of these beasts asap[i may have to book one within 2 or 3 weeks]... plz consider the known issues of pulsar 180 and cbz if any too... thank you all... xBhp rocks...

You can't really expect the bikes you mentioned to give FE in excess of 45kmpl all the time, especially with the tall and heavy rider like you. Still, CBZ Xtreme is one of the best 150cc motorcycle for really tall riders. It looks good in its latest iteration and is very good value too. FZ will be another preference for tall riders as it has a large and accomodating seat and it looks great with those meaty tyres, fat forks and naked macho looks. However, FE isn't the strongest point of FZ neither in city nor on highways.

                          Hi there,

If you are looking for comfortable and relaxed ride GS150R is also a good option. It returns good average of around 50(mixed riding). Only thing is at green lights you may not be the first one to cross is(initial acceleration is average) but once mid and top ends are very good.
Myself being 6ft and rather bulky I find that ride is too easy plus the bike looks big.
So you won't look puny on it either.
Consider this only if you have proper Suzuki dealers in your surrounding

thank u for the speedy reply ashoka and vikas,
GSR150 is a gr8 machine but your letters in bold is what that makes me re-think... yamaha and suzuki dealers are 50km away from home while rest are 7km near. so, then i considered almost same looking and more refined unicorn, but none of the dealers near me are assuring it to be delivered within 10 months. dazzler would have been good if it had a big bike feel. so shortlisted cbz and pulsar. . .
@vikas, i cant compromise on fz's FE figures... i loved that machine...
