  • confused over my very 1st bike :(

hello friends...i am arun from bangalore
like many of the first timers , i am also confused over my first bike..
i used to go to college by bus and once in a while use my dad's darling! (HH splendor)...now my college got over and i will be working in a place which is around 20 kms away from my place...so i need a bike for daily commuting...
mileage and comfort is my top priority....thought of buying <150 cc bikes as that would give me more mileage...
but there is no fun in riding a less powered bike for 5yrs! so i have decided to go for 150cc bikes...and my priorities remain the same...and budget is around 65k..
so i request my friends here to advice me on my 1st bike...i am 5'11 and have a lean physique...forgot to mention my travelling would be within bangalore city...
these are the bikes i am considering
unicorn, pulsar ug 4.5, cbz xtreme.
test driving would be of no use for me as i find all these as superbikes! since i ride only splendor!
i have rode my friend's pulsar 150 and cousin's cbz supersprint once!!!

    Have you considered Yamaha?
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

I think you missed out SUZUKI gs150r...its a good choice..
Iam from bangalore too and looking for my first bike from few months..
gs150r is the one which impressed me a lot...from past few days am busy test riding bikes in various showrooms.. p180,gs150r,rtr...
waiting for honda dazzler[upgraded unicorn] to decide...
u mentioned your budget as 65k.. on road prices of most bikes have been increased last month.. a good 150cc will cost you 70k minimum..
I had been to khivraj motors today,p1504.5 costs 72k..

you can consider cbz as it has the finest engine of the lot, suzuki gs would also be a good option as it is relatively new.

so check out at both dealers and have a quote for both bikes, pick the one which suits your pocket.

Get FZ16 cost 72k OTR best in terms of looks, handling, great speed till 100, braking, suspension everything.. else the RTR if performance is most important..

No point in suggesting him FZ he has written Mileage as Top Priority I would suggest if you can wait for about 15-20 days more and get a test ride of the Dazzler And GS150R.

Dazzler has the Tried and trusted Uni Engine with Cosmetic Changes and For GS150R now i can't say much since even i am someone who is looking into these 2 bikes for my first purchase.

But A Safe bet is Uni anytime.

Two bikes which are perfect for you are
              Suzuki GS150R
My friend have it and i found it more refined then Unicorn but unicorn have the best rider comfort

              Dazzler
it has a slightly tweeked unicorn's engine whch is known for refinement,
              ride quality must be good,
and the best part is you will get around 50kmpl while in city.

Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.....[:)]

go for test ride of both bikes Dazzler is not yet in showrooms yes it has a Uni engine but there is more to a bike than engine also if you can feel that the bike suits you go for it.

Don't worry about the confusion even i am in the same boat.
But if i am right i can see through pics that dazzler looks of lesser height than CB Uni and i am 6feet 1 inches hope it isn't too short.Since one of my top criteria is My legs
