The whole problem was i was 5'9" and weighed hardly 63 kilos at that time. The R-15 would have suited me ideal but not sure about the bullet.

And thats where the problem with all newbies are. They go by the perception that you would need a heavy build to ride a bullet. Well its kinda of scary initially but once you get used to the bike, its awesome to ride it and for the unpredictable roads its a boon. Its a good offroader and majors bumps, pot holes in the road are no issues for this bike. Infact the lighter you are the better its to manouevre the bike. You can even jump around the seats on the corners at high speeds and its quite fun. Your build is only tested at extremely slow manouvres at slow speeds which might happen once in a blue moon.

About the R-15, i am not too sure though since I own a Ninja 250-R too, i guess it would be in the same mould. Give it smooth roads and then you see why the R-15 is good. These bikes can only be ridden on good tarmacs and if you are a tourer who needs to cover both good and bad roads, R-15 is not the bike for you. Only the bullet can take that kind of beating.

So if you got miles to go and you are uncertain of the roads go for a bullet. If you have miles to go and is certain of the roads, then go for the R-15.

      hey,
i actually took a test drive of C5 today and i was totally blown away by it and without even looking at any other bike we(me and my bro) booked the bull right away.

i too believe like others that these two machines cannot be compared but still i cant tell something from my experiences.

i just would like you to consider few things before deciding upon the bike. if u r looking for daily commuting then i dont think C5 is that great an option coz u cannot realize the power of that beast in city roads. on the other hand on highways it would be simply mindblowing. R15 is great for short rides. i rode it from chennai to pondy. and it actually dint impress me coz of the uncomfortable riding position.

one more thing, the waiting period of C5 is of 9 months in chennai. i think its the similar in all other cities. i have my friend working in RE but still im not able to get a faster delivery. but its jus 1k for booking which is refundable(in chennai atleast) if u decide not to take the bull.

an R15 will give u the youngsters attention, but a bull will u the attention of the whole world.

      so think before u decide.

        Sanchit,

        Who corners all days ?

People ride their bikes at aveargely 80-100km/hr or even less daily.

R15 is about 125km/hr+ speed. how many riders ride it daily at 120+ speed ?

R15 is about the cornering, how many people corners at Highway or street like "RACE TRACKS" ?

        C5 is about 500cc, it's torque !!!

C5 is a king on road, good for city and excellent on highways.

Torque can be felt on C5.

Go with C5, no problems as earlier 1960 or 2000's bullets use to have.

Oil leakage were the main problem in bullets. Now it is solved with CL350 and CL500.

CL 500 rocks in every aspects !!!!

Thanks for your input, I totally agree with you. But I have a little problem. I live in Bombay and I will be shifting to Delhi in a few weeks. CL500 has waiting period of about 8 months and at that time I might be just anywhere in India. So is it possible to transfer my booking to another dealer.

Although it will be more fun to pick it up from Bombay and ride it home

                Sanchit:-

No, you can't transfer your booking to other dealer. you can ake your bike to other regions but i too has a problem, any bike in different state with different registration number will be mostly caught by Traffic officer.

You can't keep your bike in other state more then a 3-4 months.

Re think on your booking. When you are not in home town then how will you use your Bike.

CL 500 if taken then it calls for daily ride
