I thought Apache had rear disc brakes in all the version !! You can find most of the answers in the RTR thread. 220 Fi requires 2 litres of petrol. 5 ltrs seems to me too much !! Since Fi system is battery dependent it would be hard to start the bike if the Bike's battery fails completely.
R15, 220 & RTR have Fi system & owner's haven't faced big problems with the battery. You just need to keep a check on vital things

2 months back i went with my frnd to buy a apachi FI , the dealer clearly told us that apachi FI has officially stopped the production and there is no more FI available now , so i think he is right .. most of showrooms in B'lore stopped the FI version as there is no supply from the comp.

now every one opting for 180RTR .. i think u should better go with that , don;t bother about FI now , otherwise it may giv prob in future if u buy that

buddy i own the FI,trust me it requires a little less than 3lit....n your display will show you when to refill...the display shows the amount of fuel left after the 3lits in reserve....and about the battery thingy..once the battery went kaput completely n luckily tvs guys gave the kick start...kicked it couple of times rode it for 10-15km and the self was ready to go again..so all the claims a utter rubbish except the availability...we still have a couple of bike here with the Kolkata dealer(may be old stock)..

          all the best

                Thanks guys for ur help.....
@metalhead_aj: Thanks man u cleared a big doubt in my mind

all of u are correct that the 180 is uber stylish and powerful bike but unfortunately for me milege is a requirement and the guys here said that the 160 gives average of 50 while the 180 will give around 38-43( if i am wrong please correct)

i will try at another dealer to see if i can get a test ride of the FI ...
thanks to all of you i dont feel much confused now...

The FI only needs 3 liters of petrol in the tank for the safe operation of the fuel pump so that it don't sucks in the air.

It's a low maintainance bike and i've never faced an single issue in my almost 10K, other than replacement of an injector under warranty.

it has no battery issues whatsoever, and i'am running it without the kick from the very first day.

FI costs more than the RTR180 and i would suggest you to go for the 180.

The areas where FI scores over 180 are:

                  1. Quick and crisp throttle response throughout the rev range.
                  2. High RPM rush.
                  3. Eargasmic exhaust note (non cat)
                  4. Out of this world fuel efficiency (60-65kmpl at 4000-4500RPM but do
drops to 30-35kmpl when drivven at constant high RPMS)

RTR 180 is more bangs per bucks than the FI, and will give you 45-50kmpl with 4000-4500RPM driving.

Dude, if you go to some other place and the dealer dumps you a FI RTR 160,(it isn't selling as dealers aren't promoting it and i am not sure about FI being stopped, as it is still being shown up on TVS's official web-site) where would you go for service?
the place which refused to give you the FI RTR or to the dealer which you bought your bike from?

^^Don't you have a faint idea as to why Fuel injection wasn't incorporated into RTR 180?
