  • Which bike to buy with Good performance and Decent Mileage?

    Hi friends,
I am in search of a bike and I am a college going guy........so needed a Bike that has good Performance without compromise in mileage(it is a bit difficult,But the most appropriate one wins!
The initial cost does'nt matter much(but not more than 1.5lakh),The only thing is running costs(mileage+maintenance)which matters much.

    I have some bikes in mind=Karizma ZMR,Karizma ZMA,Pulsar 220,Pulsar 180,Apache 180,Yamaha R15.

    Ps. help me out
    Nothing is Impossible.......anyway.......:)

Ride another 10k to odo you will say 40
add another 10k to odo it will be 35
add another 10-20k wil end up close to 30... at least that was my experience and have seen
so whats changing here is the way you ride it as you grow with the bike..
will not advice any one to to buy zma/zmr/220 to expect a mileage of 40 +
30 to 35 is average what you could expect on a long term

              Thank you far fast replays'.
I need performance(good accleration, top speed not matter much)+mileage(35+ all times with moderate ripping),so these confusions.

I have dropped the plan of 180s as their performance is not upto the mark,as most of the times I will be riding with pillion,
I have also heard ZMA,ZMR,P220,R15 and even FZ mileage dropping below 35,so Is there any ways to always get mileage above 35?

dude you will not get mileage and performace both.....and the bikes you have listed are all performance bikes and not the ones that give best or even average kind of mileage.......

and mileage is a rather relative term.....it depends on how you ride your bike.....and how you maintaine it..........

i have a Pulsar 150 and it gives around 35 KMPH ...........coz i rip it usually on full throttle............so u see.........leave the mileage aside.......and then decide.....your choice should be between P220, R15 and ZMR.

                  Only advice

Look for Mileage ? --- > Go for Splendour or Discover 100
Look for Performance ? ---- > Go for P220 (Fastest Indian)

Do not mingle Both Mileage and performance - these two are Like Poles and repels each other.........

So finally I have made my mind fixed to Pulsar 220F.
and happy with the mileage it gets me,so thankyou friends!

1.I am thinking of Grey colour and are there 2 grey colours, like light grey(silver) and dark grey?
                    I needed the darker one!

2.I am going to get it in the month of July,so any new varient is coming?

Pulsar 180 UG 4 has same fork and tire like 220 and a cool mileage of 45. Look is better than the previous upgrade.
                      So why not this one?

I had thougt before but many say that mileage is almost equal with 180's and 220's but in terms of performance there is huge gap so..........

So which would be a better option Is it Pulsar 220 or Pulsar 180,
What would be the mileage difference between them?

Its plain simple. If you are more worried about mileage go for 180 and if you are looking for performance 220. Here only difference between the two bikes will be the performance and the mileage.....
