selling more??? it is not, karizma r is still selling in greater numbers than 220 atleast here in delhi, ask khanna automobiles, metro motors, oswal agencies,BAGGA LINK etc....

and ITS MY OPINION,NO NEED OF DEBATE. NO OFFENSE.

If you like oodles of power and beastly performance compramising on refinement factor n quality(its not bad as everyone says, but they still need to improve) then dont think twice, just go ahead for P220. Infact it does give better milleage.

Else if u want a no non-sense bike, relaxed crusing and comfortable seating posture and if u can live with premium spare's rate. Then just blindly go for Zma!

My personal choice - I want a cross of both 220 and the ZMA

            P.s - I have owned a p220 Dts-i for 5 months. Now i own a 07 Zma-R.

best mileage figure i have managed.

            P220 - 51kmpl
            Zma - 45kmpl (today)
            07 HH Zma
            11 Honda Aviator DLX
14 Ford Figo 1.4 TDCI (Now Caged:( )
            16 Scooty Zest
            11 CBR 250R

The streetfighter wont stand out as it looks like a bigger sibling for P150,180.

The P220 F is the one to go for if you are going for the 220, the projector lights are unbeatable and it looks quite cool in the dark. Plus the hidden bonus to pop in HID's without cop trouble hehe THe 220's faster, returns slightly better fuel economy and boasts more power than the ZMA.

The only annoyance i find with the 220F are the mirrors still quite useless.

Karizma on the other hand is a proven bike, relaxed engine, which can easily do 120 kmph without a sweat. However be ready for astronomical costs of spare parts, esp engine parts. Also, the ZMA has the kick starter which can be good in case the battery dies

Be sure that the HH showroom near you stocks enough parts for the zma as parts are a problem in some cities.

EDIT - MY PERSONAL OPINION, NO OFFENSE, PEACE!!!

Well, if you word it like that and then say no offense its like shooting someone and then saying sorry i shot you.

Its not like the P220 has some engine failure every 1000 kms or it will die out on you while you are on a tour
. Take a good look at some of the odo readings of some bangalore P220's :P (both fi and dtsi). The P220's has proven itself reliable enough and bajaj has worked upon the issues although some minor niggles still remain. While I agree that the P220-S looks more or less like P150 or 180, its still a fantastic VFM bike packed with performance.

Owning a bajaj is quite friendly on the pocket, as i've realised that i've spent nearly double on maintainance than what my other friends have who are on pulsars and me being on a cbz-x. Bajaj's spares are very cheap and they do last a decent while.
A man's testosterone level is directly proportional to bhp that he's using on his motorcycle.

                    Hey bro,

I feel Karizma R is the perfect one for you. It gives exactly what you have asked for - has comfortable seating position

But at the same time P220 isn't bad either. Don't fall for people who say bajaj bikes are worthless(I have a 18yr old KB and she's still the old cheetah). Maybe a little more on the maintainence but a great bike anyday. P220 will give you more mileage definitely. Suffers from vibes at higher rpm. Seating posture is not so bad.

Karizma for comfort, reliability and power(17bhp).

P220 for raw power(21bhp), bulky tires and projector headlight.

As vishnups17 says take a test drive and follow your heart.

                    Choose wisely......

                        Karizma!!

Recently rode a brand new 220, it was such a let down!
The gearbox is shabby, power is ok but engine is not smooth.....

After riding a honda, every other Indian bike (read Bajaj) feels inferior.....
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Both the bikes are beasts in there own way, both are the tourers, both bikes have the ability to cruise at 110+kmph etc. Those who says that Pulsars are not realiable, they have shabby engines etc. they have there personal experience. U can find many people with hell lot of good & bad Experience in this world.

                          E.G - I own p220dtsi & i got FE of 37kmpl with sane riding & 30kmpl when i rip.
On the other hand my friend P220dtsi gives him 28Kmpl in sane riding, Don't know what about ripping.
Also you can see many people in our XBHP who's Pulsar 220dtsi gives them FE of 45kmpl to 50kmpl.

About ZMA-R My friend buyed & sold it after 2K KMS as his zma was giving him FE of around 25 to 30.

On the other hand I know many people who claim that there ZMA's gives FE of 35 to 40kmpl.

So dude it's totally dependend upon ur ridding style & how u maintain ur bike.

For your requirement plz test ride both the bikes & than make your own decision.
And never Under estimate other bikes. each bikes has its own Pros in there Own way & the bikes are every beloved for there owners. So respect other bikes.

                          Peace
Who needs a stereo when you've got a throttle ? ( Time to turn up the volume.)

                            Thank you all

Will go for TD of both the bikes and then decide....

Btw any thoughts on ZMR??? I think I can afford it, but somehow I feel the bike is bulky and that it won't be good for traffic prone rides...

ZMR is better in touring then both 220 and ZMA....just make sure you make your biceps strong enough to handle heavy ZMR in traffic
