Hi buddy, Stunner has good looks and it ends there. Carb version of Stunner is nothing but a better tuned version of Shine engine.. so the top end is not to the liking of a performance enthusiast. Gladiator/P135LS are better options. Pulsars are common, but P135LS is not common (as it's new). I would recommend P135 for you.. 4-valve engine is a treat.. you need to experience the ride, it's a real joy once you are past 5k rpm. I don't know much about Gladiator.. but most of the members in Xbhp got good things to say about Gladiator. What I want to say is.. don't abandon P135 just because pulsars are common.. give it a try with test ride and then go for the one you like the most.

Under 60k, P135 is the best that you can get (actually, i think it's slightly more than 60k depending on place!). It's not easy to ignore the bike for what's on offer. And more importantly it's got the Pulsar DNA..i.e. performance.
The answer is simple,it has the worst mileage in its class,my friend had it,delivers the mileage 45~53 max how manner did u ride it,as this mileage figure can be achieved by p180

The reason why the Gladiator never caught on is because when it was first launched,it catered to a segement that simply didnt exist. Whoever wanted a 125cc commuter bike that was sporty and cheaper at the same time. No one. That's what the powerful Pulsars were for. And that's why the Discover 125 swept all the awards. It fit perfectly well with the commuter's needs of a hassle free bike that was easier to ride in the city. It had the power, the mileage, cheap spares and the looks.
Now things have changed. But sadly the Gladiator's image hasnt. The SS/RS lives under the shadow of it's former self. And the mileage doesnt help either. You have to ride it extremely carefully to achieve 60kmpl. That said, the bike's chuffing magic.I wouldnt call it the most practical bike but if your heart's set on it then dont think twice.
The brakes are good, the seat's comfy for long rides, feels extremely nimble even though it's quite a big bike . Not to mention the fact that very few Gladiators are on the roads. Exclusivity for me is a good thing.

Re. the Stunner: You will need to stretch your budget by about 10,000 to get Disc Brakes. The base model (front Drums) costs 62,000. (BANGALORE PRICE).

I would suggest you choose between the CB TWISTER and PULSAR 135.

Also don't forget practical factors such as proximity to service centres, pillion comfort etc.
As an owner of the HONDA TWISTER here are my observations:

          + Styling (appeals to some)
          + Fuel Economy
+ Engine smoothness (even upto 80) as confirmed on XBHP (Check ownership thread)

          - Gearbox = gears slip sometimes.
          - For the cost of the top-end model will get you a GLADIATOR (YAMAHA) or PULSAR 135. But not the Fuel Efficiency.
          - No 5th gear
          - no Tacho
          - No pass switch
          - Naked chain (same for pulsar)
          - Analog Speedo

          Good luck!!

            @arungandhi.c: Man u r still confused!!!!
dr is no comparison beween stunner and p135 ls,.
p135 LS got 4 valve...and dats enough reason to go for it at that price its offering.
mileage is not bad,in city conditions it'll deliver min 55kmpl.
            lots of design fetures.
look FI bikes 'll never be as successfull as carb engines in india.microchips 'll not work at potholls.

if u have any doubt still now then go for the overdrive mag(FEB issue),
u'll get a comparo chart or follow the ownership thread of p135 LS.

            go for it.

Hi buddy, this is his first bike, don't push him P135LS is right in 150cc territory with it's telling performance.. there is no real comparision with other 125cc bikes.

@TS, it's always better to take test ride, that will answer at least some of your questions. Then you can shortlist and go with the one you like the most. All the best.

Brother I also have similar criteria like you and I am also gonna buy my first bike this month.

Have a test ride on Pulsar 135LS, it's quite good. Take a ride on Discover 150 too.

The best way to decide for yourself is the one which makes you comfortable

After test rides, I trashed 125 & 150's, and went for Pulsar 135LS
