  • Classic 350 OR ZMR

Hello everyone. I am Sudipto from Kolkata. Currently I am owning a P220 F. I am creating this thread as my friend wants to buy a new bike. Budget is upto 1.10 lac. We are confused between classic 350 and ZMR. He will mainly use his bike for daily commuting to office (30 kms up down) and also for touring. We love touring on bikes. Initially we shortlisted four bikes..
    1) P220F
    2) Classic 350
    3) ZMR
    4) R15

I proposed him not to buy P220 as I want to be the only fastest indian in my group. R15 is also opted out as it's posture is not touring friendly. So left with classic 350 and ZMR. Between these two bikes, which one is better in the following categories...
    1) Highway stability mainly at high speed.
    2) Handling.
    3) Mileage ( does not matter though)
    4) Maintenance

Also one thing, does classic 350 have tubeless tyres? I know ZMR has.

ZMR is awesome bike and have quite good mileage but I think if millage is not a big deal for you & if you can wait & if you can stretch your budget then go for classic 500 awesome bike.
As per as the traffic ,you will face a bit trouble in maneuvering the ZMR but in highway its fun to ride

in case of bullet in highway it is the king with so big engine you can ride long long long without any halt and it won't give you any trouble

        Go for bullet!!

          Wrong comparison......!!!

Classic 350 is a completely different bike than ZMR.

Its a bigger engine with more power, has loads of torque which will not allow you to get off the bike..!

Test ride a classic, you might want to trade off your 220 as well...

Thanks for your quick replies. The comparison might be wrong, but I believe both these bikes are very good at touring. I just wanted to know which one is better. My friend can't stretch his budget any further. So no Classic 500. I had one more query..does classic 350 have tubeless tyres?

no the 350 doesn't have tubeless tires but ZMR have them....also ZMR is more reliable because its after all a Honda Engine..

Manuvering ZMR in traffic is not at all a problem.... It is the best handled bike I ever rode even in pack jam traffic... If you want all the aspects like Sports Styling, Sport Touring, Engine reliability I think ZMR is the best option...

No Classic doesnt have tubeless tyres but you can always change them to tubless with the company now revertingt to 18 inchers (only for the rear for 350 and both for 500).

I repeat comparison between these two bike is not really required. One test drive and your friend will land on a bike of his choice.
Not everyone is a thump lover. IF he is one among them, ZMR is the proven bike for you. But if he is the one (a thump lover) and even if he didnt know about it till now, he would not want to sit on any other bike in India, your fastest Indian included..

As for long touring comfort, no Indian bike munches miles with as much of 'selfism' as an Enfield....

                    Meaningless comparing ZMR with Classic350.
Bullet is any day ROYAL but there are certain flips.
                    Choice is entirely yours friend.

Own a ZMR and have clocked around 1250 in a month. Can give you details insight. Can PM me or call me.
But one thing for sure P220 is very good but cannot say fastest according to SPEEDO.
Tested on RAJARHAT with Mandeeps 220, Guitarfreaks RTR180 and mine ZMR. The other have speedo error.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Bullet is in a league of its own. The thump of Classic Standard bullet is something that every true biker loves. Comparing those 2 bikes is like Comparing Beer and scotch, while Beer is best when fresh, Scotch gets better as it ages. Its fun finishing cans of beer fast, while scotch should be enjoyed slowly.

If ur friend is Okay with small niggles creeping up here and there and has serious passion for Bullet, he should go for Bullet.

Otherwise, just go for ZMR. Its a lovely touring machine with good enough power for highways and looks stunning too.

ZMR cant be compared with C350, as apple cant be compared with oranges!
Till if u keeping comparing, then pls consider the shelf life. ZMR is a new product, and will remain new for next 2/3 yrs. Then newer version will out. Probabily HH will shut down existing ZMR after 8/10 yrs, (Pls look at original version of CBZ. Change is unevitable.)
But situation is different for a bullet. Its styling and machine will be undestructible atleast for our next generation. Bullet is the bike on which even time cant make effect. After 20 yrs, user will be happy with that.
If all criteria remains same,(...then just for time decay), one should choose Bullet.
