    hello good people of xbhp!!
my name is Jayanth, im a 18 year old(ok i will be 18 in a week :P) guy from bangalore, i will be going to BMSCE for college.
I came across this fantastic forum in my research( ) to find my ideal first bike, and have been HOOKED!! ive been reading the stuff on this forum day and night LOL! i never knew there were so many people so passionate about motorcycles!! But reading the threads on this forum makes me really happy to see that im not alone in my love for bikes! all the people i know only use their bike to get from one place to another , but here i see people who ride their bikes! who are passionate bout their bikes and really love their beasts!! and it puts a smile on my face Granted im not a great driver, heck im not even a good driver. Ive just started learning to drive a bike a few days ago with my uncles old victor but ive been loving those days!!..it feels so much better than driving an activa which ive been driving for the past 2 years!! the height, the seating position, the leaning to the sides to turns in the corners!! it all feels so amazing! not that i didnt enjoy riding the activa me and my friends would go to the outskirts of bangalore during the day and rip!(with helmt on empty road ofcourse) , it also felt amazing! but i cant wait to get my hands on a new bike and with my new freedom, i think its going to be awesome!! i would most probably be getting a GS150R because im very interested in touring too!

my main criteria was mileage(around 55kmpl) and 150cc, therefore both fz and apache knocked out, next between dazzler and gs150r was where i was stuck. i couldnt really make a choice, since both had their ups and downs, the dazzler with its light weight and higher lowend pickup, making it ideal for city conditions , and the GS150R, with its super smooth engine even at 100+ kmph and 6 gears and higher front weight making it much more stable bike for touring! so i went to check out the bikes in person, first the dazzler, when i saw it my thoughts were: it looks ok, honda have tried to make a fz competitor, and i really do think its better than fz when it comes to performance too, but when i sat on it, might even get you second looks on the streets too, but somehow i wasnt attracted to it, next i went to the suzuki showroom(which was much more empty than the honda one btw) and i saw the GS150R, the bike had an instant impression on me, it was MASSIVE!!, and that too no fancy fairings and all, still it looked so monstrous, then itself i knew, i had to get THIS bike. i dunno why but i'm somehow i like this bike alot from the first time i saw it! it is a personal choice, logic says go for the dazzler with rear disk brakes, light weight and great starting pickup, but my heart says go for the massive GS150R you wont regret it!, so you see, its a matter of personal choice. i know that many people dont like GS cos of its plain looks, but i love it! the massive tank! the amazing console! the hot tail lamps! i also like the uniqueness factor of this bike, its been in india for 2 years yet not many people buy this, even if its got really goodperformance and mileage. there are a few reasons for this
                    1) pulsarmania
                    2) people who are blinded by FZ's looks
                    3) people who want that adrenalin rush go for apache
                    4) people prefer honda over suzuki because its been there in the market for longer, they go for the unicorn, and now they are going for the dazzler too!

but the gs150r has managed to overcome all these odds and still win me over, im not really sure why, but it has
