  • Whats up guys, greetings from the west coast!

    Hi,

I'm Stefan, I live in North Goa and have been here for a little over 2 years, previously I was in the UK for around 38 years.

I'm a newbie to biking, although I have been on some very fast Kawasaki's when I was a teenager, as a pillion at speeds of over 140mph not kph! I have rode two bikes only, the first was a 125cc Yamaha when I was around 15 years old, I managed to travel a blistering 2ft before falling off, I had recently driven my carpenters TVS, which is in a very bad state, I managed ok, despite the gear box being in a bad state. I will probably hire an avenger every Sunday for a few weeks to practice and get used to bikes.

Currently I don't have a bike, but once I sell my Safari I will be looking to get one. I will be posting in the what bike section soon............

    Cheers,

    Stefan

Thanks for the welcomes guys, I sold the safari and bought a Swift and an R-15, I sold off the Safari as it is not practical, finding parking sucks and between the swift and the R-15 I am halving my fuel bills, as my work schedule has been very tight, I didn't get any Sundays off, picked up the R-15 last Monday night, I had a 45km ride back home, pretty much my first time riding a motorcycle and most the journey was down hill I had a few hairy moments, to add to that I was very tired, since then I have been riding everyday, had a couple of longer rides and confidence is improving evrytime, I still own the slowest R-15 at the moment, but starting to enjoy the ride, to date I have only done a top speed of 80kmph, not in a rush though, it will take a few more months of regular riding, safety is my main concern.

                Cheers,

                Stefan
