Welcome to the forum Sir! Great to have you on board. Let me add that I fall under the 1% group but still do rides with my wife. Our last ride was Bangalore/Goa/Bangalore in April this year. (The Tourer).

            Welcome again & Keep riding

That is great, ridermax. In fact, one of the reasons for my CBR 250 purchase was to do longer and faster trips with my wife. We are planning on a Pune-Rajkot trip this year end. I will recommend this bike to you but only with higher clip-on modifications. She is a beaut on the highways and as per what my wife tells me, has a very comfortable rear seat compared to my older Pulsar 150 Classic.

You are only partially right there, powertwin. Lt Cols did not become so overnight, they had to climb the rungs too. So, in my time, I have ridden the Army REs in the late 80s and early 90s as a Second Lieutenant and Lieutenant but was never a fan of the bike. And officially, ALL officers are prohibited from driving DOD vehicles unless they possess a special Military Vehicles Driving License, so no REs or at the other end of the spectrum, T-90s!

AHA!!! Another army guy joining the XBHP. Welcome to XBHP, Lt. Wonderful to have an army officer to have on-board. This one institution never fails to impress though lately it's image has been tarnished by some unscrupulous people including high ranking army officers !!!!
Man, I had childhood fantasy of joining army & living a life of an officer & yes driving a T-90 tank with INSAS rifle in hand :P

Also, very happy to know that your wife also likes to do trip with you on bike. Wonderful. Have a nice stay here.

Welcome on board Lt. It is great to have people from the Armed forces being a part of the biker community. We're sure you must have had some great experiences traveling (for work and otherwise). Do scan and post the pictures sometime soon. Would be great if you could share some of your experiences as well, through travelogues etc. As it is, even though many of us ride out on our bikes and explore new places, the stories of an army officer are after all the stories of an army officer...

Great to have you here... c u around
If you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on t.v. telling you how to do your shit, then,
                      YOU DESERVE IT!

You should have fulfilled your fantasy then! The Army would have liked to have a motivated person like you!

Arrey, Shrinath, I still visit our G2G and stay updated about the events there. I miss you guys too here, man. Somehow, I just cannot attend the meetings at Vaishali on a regular basis; kids, wife, parents, in-laws, my odd jobs and the time of 830pm is a little difficult to fit in. If I move out then, I am finished and will become a bachelor like our other friends :-P

Shrinath, when I started my trip to Rajkot, two Pune guys had met me but I did not recognize them. Could you find out who they were? One is a regular at Vaishali, the other owns a sbk. Thanks in advance; I want to thank then for their Godspeed for the trip ahead on that day..
