  • And here we begin

    Hi Xbhp,

    Confessions of a candid rider:

If you ask me today what do the words bhp, torque etc. mean, I would have the simplest of replies 'its something to feel' rather than trying to explain it with all fancy jargons.
Rewind a couple of years back (graduation days) and motorcycles were an integral part of my life but without me realising the importance that the machines deserved.
Must have rode almost all sub 223cc vehicles but never realised that they could become a symbol of what I absolutely believe in 'FREEDOM'. I can only guess that the real cause for this change was me being devoid of owning a motorcycle.

Come 2009, got me a job and immdiately picked up a used RXG in Chennai. Got some work done on it and made it rideable, little did I know that I had bought an aeging wilderbeast with but the heart of a lion. And how did I figure it out, by the unsuspecting wheelies it would pop and me tasting the salty roads of Chennai. Trying to paste together my battered ego , I had to let it go.

A year later Moved to Pune and hijacked a friends P180 (classic), the seeds were being sown. And what a beauty that turned out to be. There were some performance mods already done on the vehicle and it was a treat to ride. It was this beauty that made me wear an ear to ear grin everytime I was perched on it. And here I began the saga of long rides and meaningless wanderings just for the joys of motorcycling and photography.

Come 2011, moved again, to Delhi this time. Knew what I needed and got what I needed. The CL500 (maroon) came home . I was overjoyed.
Currently am suffering from the necessary annoyances of running in the beast .

    The confession:
Its has been very indifferent of me to have been lurking around on the forums for about 3 years now and not even trying to become a member. shame shame puppy shame.
    The resolve:
Now that I am here I am glad that I can be a meaningful part of this awesome group that XBhp is.
    Cheers to Motorcycling. Ride safe.

Thanks ridermax. Shall try and butt into discussions wherever possible, however will kind of refrain from any technical ones. Not my strongest suit you see.

ashoka_bnglr: Thanks brother. Hell yeah, but never realised it untill you told me so. This one is a keeper though, me not moving out of Delhi anytime soon.
