Welcome aboard Sarge. Selling off a Alfa for a Brutale really needs courage. Though the bike cannot come up to the car but the freedom Brutale would give the Alfa might not have.

Congrats on the great buy !!!!!

So selling off an Alfa Romeo to buy Brutale!!! You just shifted yourself from one exotic piece to another. As, you said, feeling of riding a bike can never match up to the confinement of a car. You get connected with the machine & your heart pumps with every burst of speed, throttle, brake. Have a wonderful time with us.

Thank you...the Alfa Romeo was a yr. 2000 model 166 sedan, wonderful car but sadly not really the best for the climate here and so do not have good resale value. But given the choice between the BMW or an Alfa I would jump for the Alfa, just love that engine... so buying the Alfa was the easy part got a price I could not resist...it was selling it back that hurt the most as nobody wanted to buy it hahaha... It was a tuff choice but I would rather have a good bike and a drivable car unless I could afford the bike and a Ferrari. Dream on.........

It was very tuff but I could not have the best of both so opted for a better bike over a better car...shit sometimes it still hurts when I see a similar 166 driving past me....but somehow the brutale gets more attention than anything I have owned so I guess I can live with that.

Your spot on about the beauty of the brutale. sometimes when we go riding and stop over for some tea. I end up looking at the bike and admiring its beauty from different angles hehehehe...when I had just purchased her I used to keep going downstairs just to look at her and the pleasure of the ride and the sound.... gets me grinning ear to ear all the time.... plus the 750 wants to be ridden at high revs all the time so a lot of gear changes and ...... i think I could go on but .....now the next one to get would be the MV F4 another beauty.

I might be a bit late in wishing you for the bike. But anyway Congrats.

The Brutale is my dream bike. I have fantasized about it for about 8 years now.. And till date I can safely say that its the most beautiful bike ever for me, even eclipsing the F4. Massimo Tamburini is god and for me, this is his master piece. Hopefully I'll be worthy enough to ride and own one, one day.
Till then I'll look forward to reading your experiences and photo's of the beauty..
                  Cheers

Hello Nixtrix, thanks for your comments. My write up on getting to own this machine was very brief hehehe I had so much more to say. This bike is something else when it comes to design and yes Mr. Massimo is the best out there .... sad that he has retired from designing motorcycles. There are loads of bikes out there but this one has moved me more than any other naked bike.... and I still feel the F4 is the best looking bike ever. If I had it my way I would have the F4 too and I wont stop dreaming about owing one someday. After that I need an F3 hehehe it never stops its also driving me nuts " motorcycle art" as they say at MV.

I have just been moved from Kuwait to Dubai and I had a nightmare of a time moving it from there to here but I just could not let go of this machine.... I hope I can keep it for life.

Congrats on the Hornet ..... its something I have always admired. The comfort the reliability and rideability is amazing. its got a very nice engine and the aftermarket exhaust can make it scream. And there is always something about the nakeds, bare and muscular.... Ride on
