The sleepless night before the pickup date is something I experienced 2 weeks ago when I had a flight to catch to fly to the dealer and ride back my new babe.
And last but not the least, parents and family have this crazy way of doing things that brings tears to your eyes. I still remember when my Dad sent me a DD for the price of my first m/c the Kawasaki KB125 when my first job wasn't paying e enough to afford one.

I loved your narration and 'straight from heart' lines.. True that your bond with your ride is more intense if you 'finalize' a bike and wait for long to lay hands on her..more so if you happen to buy with your OWN money..!
Your commitment for getting the bike you loved by working harder instead of the easy way- compromising for something of lower price and cribbing afterwards- makes you special!
