  • From Driver, To Biker!!

Hey guys at XBHP, I been on these forums in and out hidden finally thought I did let the community have a piece of my mind.. My name is Shad, I'm a driver turned biker.. I'm originally from USA in a town now BIG called Decatur, GA.. I used to drive a Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2002 tuned model which around 490 HP with a upgraded turbo charger, and used to do alot of racing legal and illegal at times.. Until My family thought that I should live a life on the hard mode terms, so I come to India around 4 years ago, Hindi is not the best language of mine but i do speak at times, specially the cuss words to autowalas, I since coming here, saved enough money to purchase what seemed to me the ultimate Indian Bike, that's right a Pulsar 220 F in Blue color in 2010 August.

I love this bike, it's fast (not as fast as my car used to be but fast enough) Last time i went riding, i took the bike to 147 stock it wouldnt go faster then that in stock.. I'm a fan of Joel and his work to the 220 is amazing, will be a Joel'ed pulsar soon Im sure he can work to get more mods for the Pulsar soon it's a powerful bike that needs Modification to be more quick, more realities then the stock version is..

Brief History :- Im new to the Bike, and very old and fun with 4W cars.. they are the best thats all for now, he eh eh anything you guys want to know you can ask, Im loc in Navi Mumbai Cant wait to meet local XBHPians

Edit:- Uploaded pictures of my Bike...

This picture has Blue my bike and Black my friends bike.

My bike compaired to a new black 220f which is my friend's if you can see, mine is fully shaved stock decals..

Shad Welcome .... thats some car you had. I havent had the opportunity to drive the WRX STI but have had the pleasure of the supra and the Skyline GTR with turbo kits et all.... insane is all I can say ..... I am sure that ridding a bike is a complete different experience and cant be compared to cars ..... somehow I still love the bike ...... and in India I think its much easier as a mode of transport and you get to have fun in the process. Enjoy your rides and do get Joel'd

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I will be posting pictures of my p220 soon, atm gotta go to work I live in ghansoli for time being, work in andheri soo driving 60 km everyday going and comming from work in my P220 yes, cars and bikes are two different things and have different pleasures in life

I miss my subaru it was my baby, there are pictures on my facebook if anyone wants to see the beast.. It was fully modified to provide best of commnute as well as on need power that blasts even the likes of G7 infinity's and evo's but since subaru's are not out in India as of yet, i maybe getting a evo in a year or so depends if i hit that big jackpot and im not talking about robbing a bank lol

The modified thing in India to Bikes is very limited maybe noone has caught up with it in a hardcore way unless you want to joel it but some way i think thats still too little to work with.. Im looking forward to work and have fun with you guys Im thinking about getting a 5 bhp(5 hp) custom made mini turbo kit from US atm but still, im not sure if any bike can handle even that much turbo boost for being in 165 cc or 220 cc's .. So Im doing alot of research on that topic and working with a friend who does custom car stuff.. Sending him tech spec's of a plusar 220 to see if he can get something done in a performance way, we are talking about bigger back tire rims, custom made shocks ( teins shocker r awesome) along with many other things to even support a turbo charger on a bike.. Lets see how we can work with that and the bike.. Will post Pictures of my bike in the morning.. see ya'll around.

PS:- I did not bring my subaru to India, they didnt let me charging close to 3 times the price of paying for that car would be crazy for me to bring it.

I will be posting my car pictures here soon, I just need to find time to load them off facebook and load them on photobucket and post them here.. Also will be posting my Bike pictures soon and what I have done to it for now.. Im not a big fan of stickons (Plusar sign) so What I have done is, remove the stick ons from the Plusar the 220 sign in the back panel, the side, did not removed the bajaj sign on front headlight head, and on the engine since they are ETCH'ed and the headlight head wont look soo good without it unless i get a transformers logo to replace it LOL

Personally I have driven the Skyline GTR (newer one) when it came out in 2008, full black, but it didnt provide me as much fun as a Subaru does.. Subaru is just different, whole alot of fun and it's a beast that contains within soo beautifully, When it comes to cars, I have driven from Infinity to Merc to Lexus but the comfert level that Subaru provides is subpar to any other car out there.. Cars like Evo, Wrx are just wonderful of what a small 2 lt engine can do when connected to a nice turbo charger and the pick up it provides is deadly as hell.. You cannot imangine the raw power it provides and when you hit the rpm of 4 and the turbo spools in.. It's like heaven on earth, the G's forces you to stick to your seat and not move an inch.. It's to Much fun...

Of course you cannot compaire bikes to cars its like compairing two girls at the same time, stating which girl would actually be with me for long time.. I love them both and i love them both girls too LOL.. But bikes are fun but dangerious, I have had a accident with my plusar already and broken fracture on my right shoulder.. this happened last June took 2 months to recover, Im able to drive my bike

                            Re: From Driver, To Biker!!

It's been so long but I'm back on this site or err the app of the site. Thought I did bump this old post of mine to show people I haven't forgotten anyone. Since this is my welcome back post I would like to say thanks to everyone on Xbhp for making my life wonderful with witty posts, toxic humor, and flat out amazing reviews of bikes and experiences. Updates about my life, I was biking P220 for 5 years before I sold my blue beast to someone on olx who was a college student so I had to explain to him the value of the bike and he happy listened. So now I been riding my wife's activa for the past 6 months and brought a Honda city for more family times. I have also been blessed with my beautiful daughter. Other then that I'm also hunting for a brand new bike. This time I have my eyes on a Apache 200 for everyday work commute and some weekend fun with wife. So I hope as always you guys would welcome me with open arms. Again Thanks Xbhp for giving me a chance to show who I'm.
