  • Hola!!!

    Hi ,

Its been a while since I joined xBhp and been an active member until now and I guess its better late than never to introduce myself ;-).

My name is Jyothiswaroop better known as Jyo (a.k.a. RJS).I hail from chennai and currently working in a repted MNC as a sofware engineer.

I have been riding bikes (scooters and mopeds :P?) right from my 10th grade and developed my passion for biking since the day one i held the throttle of my beloved TVS XL Super ;-) which i actually owned for a couple of months.

I currently own my good old scooty pep which i own for 8 years (oh yeah!!!) and the mighty Yamaha Enticer which i am riding for the past 4 - 5 years (Was used by my dad earlier since i did not own a MCWG licence back then... grrrr) and I loved it a LOT.

Apart from that I have had my riding experience with bikes that include the mighty enfields, pulsars and apaches (I guess i rode almost all the bikes available in the market atleast once :S) and I would say the RE's have their own legacy set apart though I am more inclined towards the searing, quick and powerful street fighters such as the RX100 and 135, though not for their looks ;-)

After a whole lot of research googling and with the help of opinions from fellow xbhp-ians, i booked my next bike, the quick orange devil "KTM Duke 200" (i'd say, it is one helluva bike, ... just the test ride for 10 mins, around 2 kms and I felt like I am destined to be duke'd the rest of ma life :O)

I have paid the full amount a couple of days back and am expecting duke in a couple of days. Just cant wait to get my hands on it.

A few pics of me with my beloved ones... People who would like to have sensible conversations, sharing knowledge and ofcourse meet up for road trip if possible at times, add me ;-)

My new ride ... ready to race???

    Would be mine real soon!!!

hey there,do i need to say welcome?
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

                By the way...

took ma delivery yesterday mornin and i must say it was one helluva experience... simply osum...

There were not much of the flaws mentioned earlier in this forum... there ofcourse was a coolant leak, but it got settled once the level came to the middle (just between min and max)... it was almost at max wen delivered.

Currently ma odo shows arnd 110 kms (25 during delivery) and also did not follow the "restrictions" much ... however tried to do so most of the times ... crossed 7k rpm, touched 100 kph and i must say, duke is the best street racer for indian roads...

Would give my comments and review in detail with pics soon ... but ... to make it short,

                Some "cons???":
                1. She gets too hot at times :|:|:| so better keep your thighs split a bit, when idling ...
                2. It seems a bit difficult to find neutral (when the bike is not moving) :|:|:|, it was easy when i got it delivered and during the TD also...
                3. Do not fill the tank "full", it may leak when you put side stand... so keep some half litre space left... I wasted arnd .25L petrol today jus cuz of that...
                4. In a congested traffic, its really hard to use the 1st and 2nd gears... but can manage with just the 3-5 gears... simply osum ...
                5. The rear seat is hard to lock back once removed :|:|:|
                6. Roadrunner "beep-beep" (Sad horn)
                7. hard to stop riding, go back home and park it ... makes you ride it all day long ... under scorching sun, dusty road and even the most congested traffic..

                Pros:
                1. Eye-magnet
                2. Traffic slicer
                3. Quickest bike... and did i mention, the person sittin at the back may fall down the second after you engage the gear and start moving ... (that may happen to the rider as well... wat a pull ;-) ;-) ;-) - people who rode the bike to the full extent, after the service know wat i mean ), An Rtr 180 - buffed up for 200cc with modified filters and an fz with racing kit could hardly beat this babes acceleration... (even under 8-8.5k rpm)... zooms off like a rocket...
                4. Decent fuel econ - i got 35-40 wen i rode under the 5k rpm ... at the end of the day it was 27kpl :P:P:P... anyways it was decent enuf for the amt of fun it delivers...
                5. BIG Bike FEEL
                6. Dominating exhaust note...
                7. Ear to ear grin at the end of each ride
                ************
