  • Greetings fellow xbhpians...

    Name - Naguib Anam
    Current Motorcycle - Bajaj Avenger 220cc DTS-i
    Age (as of 16th October 2012) - 18

Hello everyone, I'm Naguib Anam (don't try to pronounce my name you won't be able to. Even google can't help you. Yes, I dare you) I am currently pursuing B.Com. It was not easy to convince my mother to let me own a motorcycle due to safety concerns. I have owned my Avenger since 16th June 2011 and have been really satisfied with it. I would like to point out some quick pros and cons that I have felt with my Avenger. Unlike other pros and cons where they list the pros first and the cons later, I'm going to post list the cons first and pros later. As I believe, a good ending is a happy ending

    CONS:
    1. Front tyres tend to skid during emergency braking, otherwise it's fine.
    2. It's difficult to find the neutral gear. Sometimes, I just leave it on 1st gear as I don't always have the time to play the dancing game to find the neutral gear.

    Pros:
    1. Quite powerful and torquey. Pick-up is good.
    2. Looks great, definitely a head-turner.
    3. Very comfortable, yes the pillion seat is narrower than the rider seat but it's not really a problem unless your pillion partner is very heavily built. The Avenger also comes with a back rest.
    4. Great for long rides due to comfort, fuel efficiency and power.
    5. Complete value for money.

Welcome to xBhp, Naguib. Hope it will help you in becoming a better motorcyclist.

I see that you don't seem to be too fond of wearing a helmet, which is absolutely wrong both legally as well as for your own safety.

Kindly do wear helmet while riding your motorcycle.

I am removing your picture where you are riding your bike without wearing the helmet.

    Regards

First of all, thank you for your warm welcome and yes I know it is legally wrong and very dangerous to ride without a helmet. Trust me, I always wear a helmet when I go out of my house. In those pictures, the only reason I am not wearing a helmet is because it was just for photo taking purposes. As soon as I got the pic clicked, I wore my helmet back. I assure you, I take my helmet everywhere. Thank you for your concern. Peace
