  • Biker in Hibernation

    Hello everyone,
My name is Parminder and am 24 years old(not really young in my opinion). I have been visiting xbhp on and off for almost 2 years now, mostly sitting on the sidelines. Presently I am living and working in Auckland(NZ) and it is xbhp that has kept me linked and updated with biking news and happenings since i arrived here last year. I had a P150 back home which i owned(not the word i would like to use here but cannot think of anything else) for 5 years. It had clocked 125000 k's when i gave it away. It had been my first and only bike and i was in love with it despite the experiences(ofcourse, the not so good ones) and trust me you don't wanna know about them. I loved it soo much that in the 5 years time the only people who touched it were the Bajaj mechanics, i got it services after every 2000k's and got it washed only from Bajaj workshops(silly me) 2-3 times every month. Ofcourse i am not gay and liked thrashing it around. I used to redline 75% of the time(i know its not a very wise thing to do but shayad woh umr hi aisi thi..lolz). Anyways, currently i donot own any bike(paying mortgage for the house is a priority right now) but i am seriously "eyeing" a zx14r (zzr1400 for you guyz back home).

This is all about me. Apart from this in my humble little opinion i feel there are more "wannabe" and pozers in India than the real bikers. I remember when my GF asked me to choose between her and my bike. I used to go on rides(alone) for no reason at all and when i was sad, just going for a ride would calm me down. Ofcourse i did the regular wheelies and stoppies too but that was more for myself than for showing off to the fairer sex or others. It seems exactly the opposite nowadays where what matters is what stunts can you do or how fast your bike goes. As i always say a wannabe would always ask "what is the top speed?" (i have done 147kmph on the Bajaj hoodibaba, the other would answer..lolz) but a true blue blooded would always ask "so how does the ***** handle?"....expecting some criticism for saying this but its all good, everyone is entitled to one opinion, innit??

    Peace

    Belated welcome to xBhp!

You live in a fantastic place. The ZX14r should be a good bike to tour around NZ. Once you have it post about it here!

Welcome to xBhp, pal. And I do not think you are old at the age of 24 .
Enjoy your stay. I would like to reserve my comments about bikers and posers

old @24?! then what would you call me/sunny? and old fox???!!! (no offense pls... i respect him)

bout biker attitude... sometimes i feel embarrassed when people ask me bout my top whack. i dunno. but i sure did feel the wind and screamed past caged drivers. who the f**k would look @speedo then? and people ask me bout mileage. that too, i dunno! i just fill it up when i 'feel' its running low. so... well.!

i wont say a welcome. you are 'old'. so, keep posting brother... and let us know when you get the new ride.
