  • Hello my fellow Riders ;)

hi everyone. this is Vasanth from Madurai, TN. just started at BHP yesterday. im not a professional rider but i love to ride, the joy it gives me, wont come from anything else. the cool breeze and dust which fall on our face while riding gives a immense joy and all the madness and stress we had at work will vanish like thin air. i love to RIDE, RIDE, RIDE and RIDE. i have been around this site for quite some time as a guest watching the reviews posted by Riders from all over the world and whenever i search for a specific bike ill see most of the reviews from BHP and the every image will have a logo of BHP on them. that gave a good hint on what ppl at BHP do and thought to myself that i should join BHP to learn more about our sweet Rides. but yesterday when i was searching the forum for a good shop to buy a HID for my ride in my place, i came across the section Tourers and was stunned to see all those threads with such a wonderful experience each and everybody got during those tours and the pics were simply excellent. i blamed myself for not joining the site and started registering right away and slapped myself for not taking good look at the forum before. i have been through most of those routes(in TN ofcourse) but never felt so much joy when seeing those pics and the words by which the riders express what they felt was amazing. so im here right now with you guys, i hope i meet some good friends, advisers and Riders all along the way.

    My personal life:
im 28 yrs old. i finished my Engg and stayed at home for a while and went to look at our Business and been running since then. im more of a jolly, loving and friendly going guy. love to travel on my ride all the time. with/without others. i have my companion always with me.

    My riding life:
as most of the Riders here, my dream of riding started when i was a kid. whenever i saw a guy going in bike, i ll dream as if i was riding that bike. my childhood favorite was RX series and a bullet(which my dad owned). a guy near our place use to have a RX 100 and whenever he starts his ride i wont here any sound but the sound from his bike. he had it well maintained. his ride will always look neat and shiny and oneday he took me to market to buy some veggies for our family. he was riding fast i was not scared but i enjoyed the breeze and sound of the engine and i fell in love with it. the first one i got to ride was a TVS Champ which was at our home. whenever i got the chance i rode it with the joy. i know its no match for the one felt. but i still loved it. then days passed on i finished my schooling and joined at college with the dreams of owing a ride. as days pass on my love and urge to ride grow with me and finally my dad bought me a bike for his b'day. i was happy and was jumping with joy to own a ride. he asked for the model and i chose Apache RTR 160 before 2 yrs and my Riding life started. took the keys from my dad's hand after he rode for a few distance and went out for a run that night itself. i rode fast for nearly 20 kms and stopped at a place on highway where there was no one except me and my ride. i looked at my ride and smiled and said to myself that i should treat like him a brother, a friend and more. i pledged myself that i should take good care of it and have been doing ever since.

a few details of my ride:
    Name: Apache RTR 160
Color: Black( im very fond of it and i call my ride as Black Beauty)
    Kms done: 17,305 and counting
Max speed attained: 120 kms/hr reset that record and now 119kms/hr
Longest distance travelled: 450 kms in 6 hrs. was going to meet my friends from my native. was making soooo much stops along the way as its was too windy.
Gears: Only a studds helmet planning on getting some good gears soon.
everything is stock in my ride, except some stickers around my ride, changed my park lamp from stock to RED color one. removed the stock stickers in my front mudguard and put a Scorpion tattoo(sticker). my battery is nearly dead so im planning to changing to a new Amaron. planning to change to HID soon, searching for a good shop in my locality if someone knows any just give a pm please.

im sorry if i took more of your precious time of stating such a looooong intro. if any of you guys pass by my place just give a call and ill be more then happy to meet and RIDE with you and thanks to BHP for making me part of the community. i hope ill be of some help to someone.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Vasanth.
    Cheers

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
