• Hello fellow Bikers ! This is Giridhar :)

Hi There !

How you folks doing ?

This is Giridhar from Bangalore. I'm a software developer by profession.

I just love this site !

Currently I own a Kawasaki NINJA 300R and also a Bajaj PULSAR 220F.

I also have a Yamaha RX-135, which I no longer use

My hobbies include programming and listening to music and I also love to go on long bike rides.

Personal blog : Giridhar Bhujanga

Currently I'm in Mumbai and would be relocating to Bangalore (very soon).

I would be going to Bangalore on my bike.

I'd glad if I can get some tips from you experts @ xbhp.com, as this would be my first long distance bike ride.

Thanks !

Hope to meet some of you in the future

Happy Biking !

Cheers,
Giri

giridharmb : ninja300, pulsar 220f & rx135???
man... are u a lucky dude & u r in mumbai?
thats way kool.
if time permits, do join us on some of the g2g or weekend rides - there's one planned on 6th july to malshej ghats [details on the mumbai g2g thread]
as for ur ride to bangalore... the mumbai - bangalore highway is a blessing for all bikers & all the bikes u have are easily capable of sub-100kmph speeds.
so mumbai to bangalore w/ some quick halts in between will not take more than 14 hrs.
the road is almost entirely smooth & pretty well maintained!
ride safe my friend!

@ The Monk, Thanks

@ whymail : RX-135 is pretty old, i got it when I was in college, I guess back in 1999/2000. Only recently (about 2 years back) I got my Pulsar 220F. NINJA is almost new - just about a month old.

Sure, will get in touch with you once I'm sure about my plan (in the process of shifting stuff to Bangalore).

Thanks for the info on Mumbai to Bangalore route !

Happy Biking !

@ Raj Kamal : Yes, definitely :-) , How many KMS have you clocked on the speedo ? Me - not much, just about 470 kms. I very much eager to cross the 1600 km mark, which completes the break-in.

@ deepak10 - Yes, I did the search and found several threads on Mumbai-to-Bangalore ride
Thanks for the info..!

Last week, I did Vashi to Lonavalla and couple of days back, I did Mumbai(Vashi)-to-Pune and back on my Ninja.

The ride was good ! The hill top near Lonavalla - was awesome ! While coming back, the hill top seemed like it was some hill-station resort in winter as I was riding through the clouds in the evening. It was too good ! Only last 20 kms (towards Vashi) was bad - road was full of potholes (& bumps) and I left Pune a bit late (at 5.45pm) and got stuck on the highway filled with trucks - there was a huge jam !

Anyways - thanks to all of you for giving me valuable information ! Will keep this in mind once I leave for Bangalore on my bike ...!

Looking forward to meet you folks once I'm in Bangalore !

Happy Biking !
