Hello friends,
I'm Keerthi from Chennai. I'm a bit of a passionate driver, a photographer and a detailer. You can find me fairly active at GearHeads India in the detailing and photography/tavelogue sections at GearHeads.
I own a 2008 Honda Unicorn. It used to be my daily driven for about a year but then for various (safety) reasons, I was forced to drive a car now. But my love for the bike hasn't faded a bit. While I was out of the country for about a year the bike wasn't appropriately taken care. The bike has been sedately driven, has never ripped it and while it is sound and strong mechanically, it has lost some visual bling.
I'm now embarked on a mission to restore the bike myself. This includes not only the appeal but also the internals. Yes, I'm going try (until I succeed) myself so I can maintain the bike myself. Every Honda owner knows how the Honda service sucks, atleast in Chennai.
I have already jump started the work but this is just a start and I have some more serious work to work on. Being a poor sinned IT guy, I'm not mechanically skilled. All I have at the moment is some will power and a quest to learn and master it. I will open a thread to track the progress, ask clarifications, trouble you guys. I hope you will accompany and help me along the journey.
