Honestly I dont know why are you citing other's examples here?
Why are you talking about others? Its you who would be wearing the gears not others, its your life, not other road users.
Is there any guarantee that you can't have any accidents near your home, or the accidents will have prior appointment with you just only for long rides?

Also you cannot determine when,why,where someone's idiotness may rise,,,,at laest im happy he didnt made any scratches or cut sonething,i noticed it when i first started my bike,it idled on 5k rpm
