  • Zephyr blow...

    Hi everyone,

Foremostly my indeep honourable bow to all the bikers and bike Lovers... "thy the fervor for biking and bikes be everlived as thou the self-existence shalth serve the meaning''

I am originally from Shimla (Himachal Pradesh, the lemma 'Zepyr blow' stands supportive now), presently hooked up and residin' in Bangalore....

    Brief up:
Wen I was in Std. 8th(Year:1996), I used to ride a Scooter for continuous weeks, everyday in definite circles(that time my feet couldn't touch the ground) for 1-3 hrs by the river bed of 'Beas' in Poanta Sahib(H.P.) and occasionally on roads wen accompanied by an adult.

I got my 1st ride wen I was in Std 11th(Yamaha YBX), I rather earned it after two years of murmurin', cryin', pleadin'... say watsoever. Wheelie, foot standin' n Spinnin' (no Wheelie Stoppies) were often da kick off in ma ride wid the YBX (Yamaha bikes mostly like RXZ, RX100, YBX etc didn't require any special kinda tune up for instant acceleration n wheelie possibility (I emphasize here atleast 10 metres long wheelie and not a meagre sky-way nudge of the front wheel).
Trips done on YBX: Shimla to Poanta Sahib, Shimla to Palampur, Palampur to Dharamshala(Mcleodganj), Palampr-Hamirpur-Sarkaghat(Mandi district) and few more.
TopSpeed attained in YBX: 116kmph (with pillion) Where: Poanta Sahib-Nahan Road

My 2nd ride was Hero Honda CBZ with disc brakes (not CBZ Star/Xtreme, I still hav it in ma stable), was/is a pretty decent ride and prominently the 'proclaimed' first re-knowed 5-gears bike(earlier ones: Yamaha RD350(6-gear) and Yamaha RX-135) and first of a 'Runner bike' with front disc brake (before this Enfield Fury was the one to support disc brake) in India. Boasting TPFC, it somehow bettered other bikes in terms of immediate throttle response, with a very good saddle height n classy looks... indeed stood as a perfect pick of that time.
Trips done on CBZ: Shimla to Chandigarh, Shimla to Sundernagar(a place on the way to Manali, just 21 kms from Mandi), Hamirpur to Hoshiarpur, Hamirpur to Una, Pune to Lonavla, Bijapur to Badami and few more.
TopSpeed attained in CBZ: 110kmph (Solo) Where: Kothrud to Wakad(Pune) road

My 3rd ride was Hero Honda Karizma(not Karizma R, presently my bro rides it)... I will not go on with the details this time as it may kinda struck boredom.
Trips done on ZMA: Shimla to Chandigarh, Hamirpur to Una and many more.
TopSpeed attained in ZMA: 126kmph(Solo) Where: DND (Delhi-Noida-Dehi) Highway

My current ride is Pulsar 220 Dts-fi. I had a tough time to choose from Yamaha R15 and P220 , since I stand '6 feet 3.5 inches', I had to drop off R15 from the Menu. Also, to balance essentially power-to-weight ratio in R15 the rear tire size(even the whole rear look) shattered me additively... howsoever in terms of swivelin', maneuverin, it is truly a baby R1 and the best in class(Handling) till date in India.
Trips done on P220: Bangalore to Savandurga.
    TopSpeed attained in P220: 122 kmph(Solo) Where: Bangalore-Mysore Highway

Now presently I'm die-heartedly awaitin' for the most inquisitive, the swanky Bajaj Kawasaki Ninja 250R , and as a CBU the chances of de-tuning are minimal and would give a tough call rather will supervene the limited existent units of Kinetic-Hyosung Comet GT250's (naked bodies, Hyosung unjustified by not bringing in its full fairing models and also confining to some limited numbers ). May the MD live to his words spilled out during XCD 135 Dts-i launch and bring in the Ninja 250R right in the month of May or June only.
