  • Hi Fellow Bikers...

    Hi Fellow Bikers,

My name is Sharang Dev Singh and I come from Kathua district of J&K. Im currently residing in Delhi. I had joined XBHP somewhere in 2006 or 2007. Somehow my ID got disabled and I joined back in 2008. I've not been a very active member but I log in and read everyday. I guess its never too late to tell who I am.

Since early childhhood I've had a great passion for bikes and travelling. In school days I used to ride with a friend on my sister's Bajaj Spirit to unknown roads and remote locations. I remember once being stopped by BSF guys for treading too close to the Pak border.

In 2006 my dad bought me a Pulsar 180 v2. The "Fear the Black" version. I was in love, I still am. I guess you never forget your first love. That Pulsar ad song..."these shoes are meant for walking.....and that's just what they do...." was so cool. Used to tour a lot with my friends, those days were just amazing.

In Dec 2012 I got a job here in Delhi. Now I wanted to upgrade. I was not a fan of the duke's styling. But its the best thing money (read two lacs) can buy as of now. I earn a decent salary but not enough to get a 390 straight on. So got a loan, booked the 390, and got it delivered after a wait of two months on 29th Oct 2013. The bike is freaking fast and agile. But somehow my soul is still attached to my pulsar. Maybe its the way I used to ride back then, the places I got to see and the amount of time I had.

My passion for biking is such that I bought the 390 even though I can't afford one. Good luck to the bank in getting the loaned amount back..... I will be atending the KTM trackday at BIC even though I don't have a riding jacket. I've got an SOL helmet, bought Spartan gloves a few days back and those ankle high army boots thingy. I hope I'm one of those few early participants who will be getting riding gear there at BIC. Don't want to invest in a riding jacket as yet, but I hope I do. I'm writing all this sitting here in my office on a saturday (though I have a five day week) hoping to earn a few extra bucks. My 55+ years old DGM boss rides a Bullet to the office. I hope he's not a member.

And one question guys, I know this not the best place, but which is the best riding jacket within 6K? I'm thinking about the RJays.

    Cheers

Hi Sharang, welcome again to Xbhp.
Regarding those jackets, i don't think you get Rjays within 6k.
          Other options are,
          Cramster Breezer : 5450
          Spartan Icarus : 4800
          DSG Aero : 5000
          DSG Rage : 6000
          DSG Phoenix : 5500

Would rather suggest you to save some and go for a jacket like Spartan Helios :6800/- which would indeed suit the Mighty D390.

          P.S: Sent from office!
It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!
