  • Hi my name is Anand. I have a ind Suzuki moded to Suzuki Shogun living in Bangalore.

I have a 1986 model ind Suzuki Japan engine which was modified in the year 1999 to shogun by giving a big heart that is shogun cylinder and crank made it a beast. All was perfect except the ignition coil and the cdi which changed the revs of my bike in the year 2011.

Few days ago my friend Keshava Gajanana had his bike fully restored and I rode his bike. All I can say was outrageous power and throttle response. Luckily he had another shogun cylinder which was ported and lying in his house. I took his cylinder as a gift from him and with his guidance I went to do the works in AS engineering works which is located near lalbagh road and Jc Road. Reboring was done by computerized machine.

Today I am going to install the cylinder with the Thailand piston and rings which was given by AS engineering. And the end result will follow up in the next post. If I have any problems I will post it that one also. Just seeking for the solution from senior members if any problems occur.

    Thanks and regards,
    Anand

Re: Hi my name is Anand. I have Suzuki Shogun and living in Bangalore

Yesterday after installing the ported cylinder for my bike. I didn't feel any difference but instead I was confused. Because my bike didn't start in fact i was unable to kick start. Then I dismantled the cylinder and checked with the mechanic called Shiraj who owns the garage called speed bikes. He said cylinder head is grinded to the max and so the reason he installed 4 cylinder packing in order to make the piston level down so that the cylinder head doesn't have contact with the piston. Then my bike started with 4 kicks. I was not very happy with the performance as my bike is running rich tuning and also the 4 cylinder packing. So tomorrow I am going to install the cylinder head which is not grinded and post it later.
