  • A big Hi to all

    Hello friends,

I am new to this forum, but do visit this community once in a while. I have always been interested in bikes, cars and automobiles in general and have found this community to be a good information source for bikes.

Recently the biking bug bit me and I went in for the D200, also bcos my 2000 CBZ was showing its age. Needless to say the upgrade fever caught me and hence moved to a D390. This forum has been a big information source on the D390 for me.

But I am a big fan of any good bike, Honda, Kawi, Yamaha, European exotics.

A little bit about myself, I am in IT. From Chennai, but working in Bangalore. I haven't done any serious biking but I am hoping to do a few rides on the D390. Now, I ask myself, why hadn't I started earlier
As I read through the forums, I realize that there is a huge amount of collective knowledge in these pages. I look forward to learning more from all you folks out there and contributing my little bit.

    Thanks everyone,
    BV

Never too late to start anything in life! Pursue biking as a hobby as there are very few activities in the world that will give you as intoxicating an experience as scraping your knee on a twistie! Welcome to xBhp!

P.S: Do you still have the D200? If you sold it, how did you find good customers who will pay what the bike deserves? I am trying to sell mine for so long now

Yes, you are right, Deathmate.Zed. I am beginning to get addicted now

I managed to sell the D200. There was this buyer who fell in love with my bike because I washed it before he took a look at it. And in all fairness, my bike was brand new. I did'nt get the price I wanted, but then I figured if I waited longer, I will not even get the price I was getting now. And I was itching for the D390.
I don't know if I got the price the bike deserved, but the market hardly works that way, it is more of demand vs. supply. Yes I did loose some money .
Often I wonder why I hadn't bought the D390 in the first place. It was silly of me. But I want to believe that the later batches of D390 have had some of the issues, like heating, starting trouble etc. fixed. It probably is the case.
So I would say, if you are sure about getting the D390, get it now before you loose more on your D200, unless you have the dough to have both.

          Cheers

I have finally decided not to part with my dear D200 for a petty price. Its sad how the second hand market is for this wonderful product

So I will keep my Duke, spruce up it's performance and looks, and use it as my daily bike when I buy a superbike
