I've been away for four years and finally got back here, on xBhp. Hope you've all been well. I must say, I missed the craziness, and people arguing with others they haven't met, all looking and aiming for one thing- more speed. These years away have definitely taught me a lot, perhaps more than required. Had good times, and bad, met people, said goodbye to many, and goodbyes to people I loved. Life got into this standstill, where you just watch the minutes go by; lost in deep, sometimes disturbing, thoughts.
And then I got back to India about a couple of months back. Life got back to being sane, and purposeful. Started helping out NGOs, sorted out family relations, friends, and things started looking better. Met my dog after so long, she's all cheerful too! And then I met my R15, for the first time in years, and it looked outstanding. I almost, for a second, thought that I should get myself another bike now that I'm older- perhaps a RE or the RD 350. But then there was a ride, the throttle made it kick in as powerful as I remember; and there was a flow of memories- the ex on the pillion seat, the long rides from home to university, the post-midnight tea breaks, and the extremely long rides to serenity. Which all made me think, life is good, and like a rider you get to choose how to deal with life's paths- either get weary and tired, hoping for it to end OR to keep riding, enjoying the little things, and excited about what's waiting for you around the corner. Hello xBhp, I've missed you.
Best,
Tony
