Hi fellow xBhpians,
I am Abhay Dhan from Ranchi,Jharkhand. I got my first ride on 1st 2012, a midnight black Yamaha YZF R15 V2.0 which I christened as Roach after one of my rider brother who was my inspiration for joining the xBhp. RIP bro
Currently I am living in Delhi and pursuing my graduation in BA English Hons from Delhi University. I get the chance to ride only during my vacations and when I am at home I plan day-long trips riding 200-300kms and sometimes a visit to some distant relatives completing a four figure round trip lasting 3 days to a week. Mostly I ride solo because my kins think that riding a long distance without a reason in a naxal-prone area is insane and my friends are literally monkeys-on-road who cry having sores on their bums just riding a 100kays. Riding alone is not the safest option here
but there are no other options. So I always plan the safest route possible and try to grab least amount of eyeballs on the roads. [But mind it, Jharkhand is a very beautiful place with mountains, hills, waterfalls, reservoirs, lush greenery, wild animals, pretty cool climate with respect to neighboring states and good enough roads to quench your thirst as an explorer. And I have traveled the length and breadth of the state and discovered that all the ill-facts about it are just as overrated as its beauty is underrated. I will post the details of the places to ride in Jharkhand afterwards in a new thread.] This monsoon I am planning to take Roach to Delhi and will plan to stretch my legs from there.
I have also a passion for photography as photographs are relics of our experiences and every explorer at some point is bitten by this shutterbug. I am a beginner with lenses and is learning from friends on social media. i am using Samsung Galaxy S3 and Nikon D5300. You can follow me on Instagram [Username: abhaydhan].
