• Ready..Set..YO!

Hello bikers!

First off, sorry for the cheesy thread name.

Second, Hi. The name's Anoop. Chose the name offtopic because I kind of meander around and switch gears during conversations (the very little I have) and because I've seen this word used a lot of times in the three years I've been visiting this website.

And yes, I did say three years. I started when my brother-in-law said that he is on the lookout for a bike. Xbhp helped zero in on his choice at the time: the Apache RTR 180. But it also made me realise what I had not been acknowledging for a long time; I love riding (bikes, just to be clear).

Now, I..uh..I honestly don't like talking about myself much. Here are some key points:

• 25, a dropout and have since graduated again and restarted my career
• Kind of a responsible guy, but I love, Love, LOVE procrastination
• People have said that I've seemed snobbish at first, but I'm actually just an introvert
• Snobbish at times
• Bad at math; like, even the basics. Lord knows how I got good marks during school

There's more, but this is the first time I've been on any forum (gasp! at this age? I know, I know...) and I don't really like talking about myself. That's why my Orkut was blank, Facebook was blank, and LinkedIn is still blank.

But I do like nice, intelligent and semi-intelligent conversations with people. So, if you guys want to ask me something, please do

Also, not sure if this is the right thread or if I am going offtopic (), but I'm on the verge of getting my own actual first bike. I've ridden extensively on the Wego and somewhat extensively on the Apache RTR 180. I'm looking for something that does a bit of everything, since I don't want to constrain myself to just one type of bike. Zeroed in on:

Pulsar 200 NS
Karizma ZMR
Thunderbird 350 (Almost solely because of the pillion)

Thoughts? If you need more info, do ask. I'll be going for a test ride next week. If it's either of the first two, A purchase would likely be made in Jan.

Hi Anoop

Welcome to xBhp. Nice to read the offbeat intro

But do post your query regarding a new motorcycle in the 'What Bike?' section.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Welcome to the Club Anoop, Happy days to come, Ride Safe,

Before this thread merges into the What Bike,

Both NS and ZMR has enough pillion comfont, not too confort but just enough IMO. IF you like riding it solo or with pillion, my order of choice is

NS, ZMR, TB 350.

Hi Anoop,
Welcome to the brotherhood.
Ride safe.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Thank you for the approval The Monk. For a while there, I wasn't sure if I had even started the thread.

And thanks for the feedback everyone. I've gone through A LOT of What Bike threads similar to this, and at the end of it all I realised that a test ride is the best thing to get rid of all doubts.

Nevertheless, If I do have some questions, I'll definitely put it up on another thread or ask them at the Ownership threads.

Hope to talk a lot more on this amazing website, or even better, ride with some of you all in the near future to unseen, far off destinations
